80 Chapter 80: Changing Lands

'HERE AT LAST,' I thought, joy coursing through my bones as I stood in front of the Mo.Co factory. It was situated in the desolate deserts that were soon to become the Bad Lands. The factory, as far as I could see, comprised several refinery-like cylindrical buildings, many adorned with pipes and antennas protruding from their surfaces. However, my knowledge from the show told me that beneath this deserted exterior lay a tubular city—an area cleaner and better maintained than the rest of the facility—where Moe lived alongside his creations.

Despite the challenging landscape, I was overjoyed to finally arrive at my destination. However, the journey was far from easy. I had to trudge through the disastrous landscape, which was visibly changing before my eyes. Mountains would sprout where none had been before, while pits would form where mountains once stood. Sudden flash floods and hurricanes would rise and fall unpredictably, catching me off guard even in my dreamscape at night, sweeping me away and leaving me waking up much farther from my objective.

This relentless onslaught of natural disasters forced me to forgo rest entirely as I pressed forward through the hazardous environment, wanting to reach my destination in a timely manner as I was never one who took his time when he had a place to be.

Despite the land's failure to heal from the bombs, I couldn't help but notice the presence of numerous animals, both big and small, amidst the destruction and devastation. It was a heartening sight to behold. However, I couldn't shake the awareness that Oozers and Ooze Beasts had vanished completely. Yet, my knowledge from the show reminded me that some would persist until the era of modern Ooo.

While traversing through the landscape, I remained steadfast in my dedication to practice, ensuring that not a single day passed without honing my magical abilities. Using my water magic, I purified any water source I encountered, a task that demanded an incredible amount of control and served as excellent training. Additionally, I endeavored to maintain my enhancement magic active for extended periods, constantly striving to prolong its effects. Though I had to recast the enhancement every few minutes, this practice led to slow yet steady improvements over time.

As for light magic, mastering teleportation proved to be a peculiar challenge. Opting to focus on short-range teleportation, I endeavored to control my destination. Initially, my attempts often ended in failure, finding myself suspended mid-air, sideways, or several steps to the right, slightly tilted backwards. However, through persistent effort, I gradually achieved a success rate of 4 out of 10 blinks landing where I intended. Nonetheless, I still struggled to materialize at the desired angle, indicating that there was still much to learn and refine in my mastery of light magic.

Now I was standing before the factory letter in my cloaks inner pocket secured tightly as I walked towards the Factory that contained a creator of one of adventure time Iconic characters.
