  The argument seemed to fade away. My heart and mind focused on the words. 'They need each other'… But—I needed Drew.

  He was what I wanted. Something solid—happiness. Something I never had with Vincent. Even our best days were a reminder of the pain. Every look—every touch—just another stab in the chest. Why did it hurt so much to let him go?
