  Alyssa messaged me early, with a gif, "It's my bday!" with a dancing stick figure. Oh wow, she was one of those… My head pounded for some reason; like someone had smashed me with a hammer.

  I responded, "Happy birthday!" tossing my phone back on the nightstand. After last night, I just wanted to rest. I depleted whatever bit of serotonin I had from the ecstasy, and my body ached from the hours of dancing. This aching was weird, like nothing else I had experienced. What the hell happened to me?

  "Can I come over; I want to talk to you about something?"

  Still very hung over, I responded, "Sure, but a little later. Not feeling well. We'll do whatever you want tonight to make up for it."

  "Okay, I will be over about 2. I can't wait to see you!"
