46 In her memory [part 1]

Darren looked around in wonderment. His eyes were round and his mouth dropped. He couldn't believe they were outside the forest. In a market.

"This is my memory. We are in the past, the year 1856," she answered his questions before he asked.

How was it possible?

"So we are not out of the forest but in your head?"

She nodded and made to leave but stopped and faced him. "Come with me."

Without asking a question, he went after her, looking around cautiously as they walked. She opened a cranky door, which sound alerted the occupants of the shop of her presence. There were eight men in the bar shop who were immediately startled seeing her.

"What are we doing here?" Darren asked in a whisper, walking behind.

"We are here to have a drink. We both need to vent out our frustration right? Is that not what the humans do?" She finally choose a table and took a seat.

Darren sat down opposite her and pressed forward, "How am I in your memory?"
