39 The woman's name is ‘Lilith’

★★

Bethany and Danny were walking ahead, while Bella was behind them, walking with her head down. Her ears could hear her coach's voice as he was correcting the game between the players. She was also in this phase a long ago.

When they arrived at the field, there were beginners as also experienced players who had played with Bella before.

On the contrary, there was also a person who was wearing a black coat, with his hands in the pocket, standing like a mighty king. Bella noticed him when Danny and Bethany stepped aside in front of her. As she raised her head, two gazes collided. Purple and Hazel's ripples stirred as they stared.

Everyone was unaware that some storm was brewing between the two people. They wanted to come out of each other's skin and immerse themselves in a passion where no barrier could stop them from feeling each other.

Bella was hiding her emotions. They have no name, but still, the sensation inside her was real.

Suddenly, another figure appeared behind him. She smiled and placed her palm on Alexander's shoulder, then whispered something into his ear. They were so intimate and one could believe they have something between them.

Bella looked down at her feet. Her hazel eyes guard up, and then she quickly shifted her body to the coach.

"Bella, what are you doing? And why you are not in your jersey? We don't have time," the coach shouted. Bella sighed at first, then move forward.

"Coach, I am sorry I don't want to play or take part in any game. I don't agree. Today I will talk about this matter with the principal. After that you will get the news," Bella said, firmly having her gaze on the coach.

"What the hell are you speaking? This is your college and now it needs your support. Last year we didn't force you to play. So, this year it should be you to be keen to play football. Don't be selfish," the coach insisted.

"College has talented players. There won't be a problem if one player is missed from the team," Bella answered to Coach. She felt ridiculous being forced like this. She is a human too and had issues. Then why didn't they try to understand her?

"Miss Isabella, I have heard so many adroit moves of yours. And I wish to see those moves. I will be happy," Angela said positively which sounded pleasant to hear as if she was encouraging a player. Her walk was great and charismatic, but when she stopped in front of Bella, she gave a silent and controllable smile.

Bella could feel this woman's ingenuity. Her intention to push Bela was clear. Although Bella didn't know if she had done anything to anger Angela or why was she picking up on her again.

"I don't want to play, but if you are eager to see my moves, then I will let you," Bella said. The corner of her mouth was slightly upturned while her eyes silently challenged Angela.

She walked away from her and stopped by the football, then looked back when she saw Angela had gone to Alexander again.

She became furious. Her whole body trembled in anger. She straightened her posture and then took a leg behind, holding her gaze to the goal post. Although the goalpost was not too far as this playground was used for practice.

Everyone held their breath and followed Bella's posture. Bella's eyes were sharp and blazed. If one could see they could tell how passionate her eyes were, but Bella was indignant.

Bella used the inside of her foot and kicked the middle of the ball while wearing normal sneakers. The ball shoots straight to the goalpost. The speed was massive. It swung past a player who ducked his head. The ball hit the iron bar and returned with equal momentum. However, it went where Alexander and Angela stood.

It was about to hit Angela's face, but Alexander pushed her aside and stopped the ball with one hand. Not only that, the ball got deflated in his hand, which made everyone panic. They saw how the ball had changed the shape and deflated, which was unbelievable.

Bella released a sigh, hiding a meaning inside it. She walked up to Angela with a heavy and painful heart.

"I am sorry, miss Angela. I didn't think it would change the direction. It's been a long since I practiced. It's my fault. I sincerely apologize to you," Isabella said, looking at the woman who was smiling.

"Oh, it's alright, Miss Isabella. You need practice, I understand. I am glad that the President is with me," said Angela proudly.

"Yes, thank you, President," said Isabella and smiled. Her eyes did not see a single emotion in those purple eyes, leading her to believe that he had only played with her.

"I need a perfect team," Alexander said aloud, looking at the coach. His perfect jaw tightened for a certain reason. He didn't look at Bella, nor did he talk to her. He turned around and left the playground.

Bella didn't stand there. She also walked out of the playground without even talking to her friends.

"Bella, wait," Danny shouted and followed Bella with Bethany.

"You nailed it," a random guy said when Bella walked past him. When another sentence from another boy came to Bella's ear, "We also saw love was flourishing between President and that woman. How possessive the president was."

"Haha. Why not look at her figure? President is targeting those things, for sure."

That's enough for Bella to lose her last composer. However, she couldn't have the right to retort or stopped those boys off.

She went straight to the library, as she was not in the mood to talk to anyone. In the library, there would be no chance for Bethany and Danny to pester her. Otherwise, they wouldn't give her alone time.

Bella walked up to a shelf in search of a book. In truth, she wanted something that could distract her from the man, could give her some space to think about what was happening with her. Was this normal for her to feel that way?

"Why does she have this sudden urge to thrash the woman, when the man is the prime culprit?" Bella couldn't stop questioning herself.

"Have I fallen in love with him?" Bella whispered, and closed her eyes. Just then, a book suddenly fell from a bookshelf. It startled Bella, and she turned around and found a book. When she looked up, she didn't find any empty place where the book could be kept.

She walked closer and squatted by the book. The book was unique. It was black, heavy, and had a gothic look. There was a pattern on the book cover and when Bella touched the book felt old and well-built. Bella picked up the book and brought it to the nearest table because the book was heavy to carry further.

The tables nearby were empty, so she chose this spot, wanting to read the book before it caught sight of anyone else. She sat down and opened it. Instantly, she coughed as the dust entered her nose.

"Looks like the book hasn't been open for a long time. I didn't know the college library has this type of book," said Isabella and looked at the top page that contained a woman's picture, and at the bottom, a name was written, "Lilith."
