The adventure begins

Esther's irritated look when agreeing to the anangel's request, only made Dane get even more upset. In aan aggressive she grabbed the girl by the arms and flew in one direction, which for the girl seemed to be at random. But that wasn't concerning Esther at the moment, no. She was too terrified to think about anything else, except when she was going to fall, causing Dane to criticize:

- Could you shut up with the screaming? I'm trying to see where Heaven is.

- You don't know where Heaven is?!

- Do you really think I don't know? I was just a little confused, since Purgatory is all equal.

They flew for another bit, to go against what appeared to be a wall mirror. They crossed it and entered a place as infinite as Purgatory, with a ground of clouds and an universal sky, and, in opposition to Purgatory, Paradise didn't have a single empty spot. On one side were concrete and glass structures to float in the air, and the other side, forests, deserts and villages. In the center stood a large golden throne, with a sapphire and diamond temple behind.

Esther was fascinated by what she saw. She had never seen anything quite like this in her life or, even, in her dreams. The height in which she was taken was no longer in her mind. The beauty of the place around her overwhelmed her mind with fascination, making her forget the fear she experienced a moment before. They landed and to greet them, Zacharias went to greet Esther. He had been waiting with the seraphim, who began by saying to her:

- So you finally arrive. Have you had your time to recover your bearings? Do you feel better?

- A little, I guess. Still I wanted to go to my father, to see this emotional dilemma solved, but this idiot angel brought me here.

- Hey! - Dane exclaimed immediately. - I bring you here and that's how you call me. I do not know why I did not leave immediately.

- Okay, sorry. The angel Dane was nice enough to move me here. - Esther forcefully said.

- Oh! - Zach looked at the angel and could glimpse its beauty. He fell in love almost immediately, approaching her as fast as he could. - Hello Dame. My name is Zacharias, but it does not matter. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Your crystal eyes, your ruby lips, you are...

- Let me guess, I'm like an angel. – She commented jokingly.

- You took the words right out of my mouth. - He said, looking her straight in the eyes.

- Look man, first my name is Dane, not Dame. Second, the angels cannot have any relationships because we are completely devoted to God, and only Him.

- Ah, the forbidden love. Only makes things more exciting.

- I do not know why I'm trying. - She went to the throne now. - V, I brought you the girl as you asked. May I leave now?

- Hold on a moment, if you may. Let me just explain the mission to the girl.

Esther was surprised by his friend's reaction to the angel but thought she deserved it. She herself had gone through the same experience when they were younger. The conversation proceeded as such:

- Esther. You know why you're special?

- Yes I am the only one in my village who can see demons.

- Exactly, and the reason for this relates to your divine destiny. You are the 1st witness. One of two remarkable individuals who inhabit Earth.

- Seriously? Ha ha. Apparently I'm better than you. - She said, addressing the boy.

- Yeah, yeah. Just remember who defeated you in that fight.

- Mmhh. – The girl just couldn't get a rest. She then asked the seraphim. – Vehulah, me being the first witness… what exactly does that mean?

- You must have read in the Tanakh about them. It is written that they will prevail against any enemy that faces them, by any means necessary. To be feared throughout the earth and all Heaven.

- Yes, I think I remember something. Wait, isn't a beast supposed to kill them in the end?

- I promise not to let this happen. But back to the main subject, your mission. The Apocalypse will soon start its worst effects, and for that, you need to make some preparations. One of the biggest problems when the Apocalypse begins focuses on Lucifer's control over the Earth. The fact that all over the world, people begin to believe in him as the savior, treating him like a god. This is mainly due to the influence of the seven churches in Turkey.

- What is Turkey?

- Well, I forgot that you do not even know what a globe is. - He said to himself, talking back to them. – It's part of Asia Minor, but it is too complicated to explain right now, so I will continue.

These seven churches were, at one point, one of the most important and influential sites of faith, and therefore have the ability to be the same again. Supposedly, in the day of the End, demons occupy what remains of these sites, and try to do everything they can to spread their fame and their belief in Lucifer. Unfortunately, the devil prepared for the worst and stepped forward. He has invaded a church already and has his sights on the other six. I need that thou goes to these sites and with the powers that'll give you, free them from evil, and protect them for future threats.

- How will I do that in seven places at once? I can't protect that many places at the same time.

- You do not need to be there to defend them. I will send someone you trust with you to close the gaps to Hell. With them closed, in time, no demon will even want to take a step in the churches. It's where you come in, Dane.

- Me!?

- Yes I want that thou goes with Esther to protect her. As you were asking constantly for some action, I thought this would be the perfect occasion to do so. I will grant you the divine ritual, since you are the most fluent angel in oratorios. I trust that you will give a good use to this.- She began to glow, as if her grace had increased.

- But ... - Dane still wanted to try to challenge the decision. However she prevented herself from going against the divine representative, and did not intend to contradict his will. - Okay V. I will do as you please.

- Are you sure you do not have a more competent angel wandering around? - Jokingly questioned Esther, immediately interrupted by Zach:

- Are you crazy? This is the best possible option and don't you dare ruin this for me.

- Oh, Zacharias, you intend to join in this mission? - questioned the seraphim.

- Yes. I thought that was obvious. N ... Not that I wish to offend you. Excuse me.

- Do not worry Zacharias, I was already waiting for your eagerness. You can go with Esther as long as you promise not to do anything too rash.

- I'll try, sir.

- Good. If you're all set then, Esther, let me give you my gift.

- Wait just a bit. I still wanted to talk to my father before leaving.

- I do not know if it's possible. Your father is now within his dream world. Only comes out when the time comes for the second death, which happens in the Apocalypse, which we are trying to prevent. So hopefully, you will never be able to see him again.

- Second death? – Esther made sure to remember that, even if just unconsciously. - No, forget it, it does not matter. I want to go to him and if he cannot get out, I will enter inside.

- I guess you did not understand. If you "enter inside" there, you would just come out once you died. I cannot let that happen.

- So I will not go in this mission. - Said the girl with arms folded.

- Fine! - He declared, almost showing his anger dwelling inside. - Tell you what. If you manage to defend all churches, I will do a miracle and you can go to your father. So, come closer to the throne and I will gift you with the necklace of faith, with which you shall eliminate all evil from Earth.

- If you won't fulfill my request, I won't abide to yours. If you are truly capable of making such miracles, you could do them now. Furthermore, I have no guarantees that I will return to Heaven once I'm successful. I decide my own destiny, and I won't let you take me to my own demise. Zach, lets go save the churches. We cant let the Earth suffer such a cruel fate. Ill just have to do it without their "gift".

- Why would you do this? What do you have to gain from following my mission with a handicap?

- I don't need your help to fulfill my destiny. I will show what I'm capable of. Then I will just have to force my way through Heaven to get what I want, and it will be your choice to either stop me, or offer what I desire. – Esther shouted, brimming with confidence. She didn't know what she was getting herself into, but her own pride wouldn't waver. She would find a way.

- I do not allow such disregard for my orders! - Shouted Vehulah already furious.

- I'm sorry then. - She said, walking toward the angel. - Dane, take me to one of the churches. Let's get this over with as quickly as possible. Without any gift from him, we will be relying on you to guide us. You will have all the action and recognition you deserve in your life. Isn't that what he said you wanted? - Dane was, at the same time, surprised and pleased by the offer, answering:

- Fine then. Let's go to Philadelphia.

- Don't forget about me! - Exclaimed the boy running and jumping to them, reaching them exactly when a hole opened to take them to Philadelphia.

Vehulah wasn't satisfied, but he wasn't furious either. He had offered the necklace of faith, as a relic of pure angelic power to aid them, but in reality, it was just a cheap way to motivate them, and give them the confidence to prevail. Thankfully, that wasn't a worry. But one thing was guaranteed to him. Her father would never be visited by her daughter, no matter how hard she tried.
