Chapter 3 Contract

The door opened again but this time it was Alex who opened it, "Hey, I need a favor from you" he said hurriedly.

'Alex the CEO, what is he doing here' she thought, "hey are you listening" he said again, "what are you doing here" Ava shouted at him, "Hey, keep your voice down and besides you are in my house".

"what am I doing here?" she hurriedly asked, "don't you remember last night", "last night, were you the one that carried me in a car?" Ava asked, "yes, so you remembered, I really need a favor," he said.

"What do you need?", "my mum is coming here, so just answer yes to anything I say," Alex told her, "okay, but why should I do that for you when you are a jerk"Ava shouted again.

"I know, I'm sorry for what I did, I sincerely hope you can forgive me," Alex said softly, "what am I getting in return," Ava said, "what do you want"

"I want a job" Ava replied quickly.

"Done" Alex answered, "wait really", "yes" Alex said, "I want a job where I would be highly paid not a receptionist", "I can make you a manager, how about that" Alex told her.

"Yes, manager I like the sound of that" Ava said, "you know, I'm really sorry for what I did back at the company, I don't know what came over me" Alex apologized again, 'maybe he isn't a jerk' Ava thought.

"So what would I do?", "my mum would ask you some questions, you just have to answer smartly, that's all" Alex told her, "okay, no problem".

Ava was still on the bed when the door opened and the mum entered the room, "good morning ma'am" Ava greeted and bow her head slightly, "good morning my darling, wow she is so beautiful" the mum said.

'darling, beautiful' Ava tried not to make too much about it, "can you stand up" the mum said, "mum, I told you we went out last night, don't stress her" Alex said.

"So when are you planning on getting married," the mum asked Ava, "married, I don't understand," Ava told her.

"Mum" Alex shouted, "what, I thought when you said she was your girlfriend, you have already proposed to her", "I wanted to, but you ruined it," Alex said.

'Girlfriend, marriage what is going on' Ava's head was full with all that was happening around her, "you should come to see me tomorrow and tell me when you are getting married" Alex's mum said to them, "bye Ava" and she left.

"What just happened?" Ava asked Alex, "well you see, I kinda told my mum that we are dating and planning to get married", "what" Ava shouted at top of her voice, "wait," Alex said.

"You see, the company belongs to my dad, and when he died my mum took over", "so," Ava said, "she made me CEO, and told me to get married and live a decent life if I want the company".

"so what, find a girl you love and get married that's all," Ava said to him, "that's the problem, I don't have that kind of feeling towards girls," Alex said weakly.

Ava's eyes widen in surprise "are you gay", "hell no, why would I be gay" Alex shouted, "you said you don't have feelings for girls so I thought maybe..", "I'm not gay" Alex said.

"Okay, okay I heard" Ava stood up, "what am I wearing?" she asked Alex, "clothes", "did I put them on" Ava looked at Alex, "no I asked a maid to help you, what did you think," Alex said.

"Nothing" she replied.

"So what are you going to do," Ava asked him, "Let's get married," Alex said in a calm voice, "Married, like real marriage" Ava was shocked, "no a contracted marriage, just act like my wife and you will be paid handsomely".

"Why do you think I would agree to that, you already offered me a job as a manager," Ava said, "when did I offer you a job as a manager", "but you said I should help you and I agreed, " Ava said.

"Well I have a new job for you, be my contracted wife", "I reject' Ava said looking at Alex's reaction, "okay, then I have no choice", "what are you going to do" Ava shouted, "get me my clothes, I'm leaving jerk".

"Guards" Alex called making Ava stop, "yes master" two sturdy-looking men rushed in, "lock the door from your side," Alex told the guards, "okay master" the guards rushed out and locked the door.

"What are you doing, this is kidnapping" Ava shouted at him.

"Oh is that so, then if you don't want to be kidnapped agree to my request", Alex said, " think of it as a job where you act to get paid", "Being a wife is not a job in case you don't know" Ava sneered at him.

"I heard you went to acting school, just think of these as one of those movies" Alex sat down on a chair, "how did you know I went to acting school?" Ava asked, "I did a little background check when you were asleep".

"Then you should know I'm not a good actress" Ava replied, "no need to be a good just act, that's how you learn, and how do you want to be paid?" Alex asked, "how, I don't understand".

"I mean when, like daily, weekly or monthly?" he asked her and crossed his legs to show his superiority, "weekly, and how much are you going to pay?" Ava asked, "give me your account number".

"Sent," Alex said and looked at her, "I haven't seen it," Ava said and looked at her phone, "is this, wait like..am..i.." Ava was stuttering when she saw the amount on her phone screen, "am I going to be paid this amount every week" Ava asked quickly, Alex was shocked "I can increase it if you want more".

"Increase it, wow the world I live in is far different from his" Ava whispered to herself.
