Chapter 3

7.30 O'clock in the morning. Stella woke with a start. It was the second day of school and she was 15 minutes late. She quickly did her breakfast and went with her usual rythm to school. Chloe wasn't here as early as she usually would. She looked around but didn't see the boy either. Just as she was about to sit, a voice suddenly thundered behind her.

"Who are you?"

She turned around and replied quietly, "This is my seat. I'm looking for my pen."

The person turned his head and looked in the other direction. "I don't find any pens here."

"It's true. It didn't make any sound."

"Do you know what I noticed?" He asked with a smile on his face.

"No...What do you mean?"

"I just noticed something under the desk. Maybe you should look there."

Stella bowed under the desk. "Thanks."

A figure swept past her. It was Dani of yesterday. "Good morning." She said and turned for class.

Chloe ran up to her in break time and they chattered about recent homework. She didn't tell her why she missed the first class, but they walked home together.

The next day, Chloe was typing some article about forest creatures on a computer. Stella went by and asked her if she wanted to come over for lunch. It was a sunny day and there was no cloud in the sky. Chloe replied that she was busy so Stella went to Dani for meeting. The met after school at a restaurant in the town centre and had some dinner. After she arrived home, a beep sound came up from her phone. A message came into view, in it was written: Hi, I'm Ian from your previous seat. How are you doing? She didn't know what to reply so she her phone aside and went to get her towel for shower. After some minutes, a scatter of distinct lights appeared, shining with glow beside her railing. She went past the light, not noticing how they moved between the window and let herself skip into bed. Then, they swirled and drew into a circle and enclosed her within the lights. She did not know what had happened then, she felt a small whirl of energy glowing beside her head. It was a seldom view that had happend and was required to hear about it. She prepared some water with the glass and waited for the petal to sink in. There was a noise outside the window. Her roomate knocked on the window quietly.

"Hi, I thought you might not have noticed me."

Stella smiled. And let her in the door. "Let's go to the market," she said. They walked out of the dormitory. In front of them was a small market. All sorts of glass ware were in front of them. She took out a note book and placed it beside the glass. Until a small one had a slightly fitting size.

At night, she wrote on to the paper and kept it in the bottle. The stars were shining hight above in the sky, their brilliant radiance small in size, but bright in power. From far away, they reached to them and lit up the whole sky that was meant to the dull with darkness. A cold but gently breeze swept by and took her worries away with it. She leant further onto the railing, wondering how the scattered stars seemed so near yet so far. Just like the distance of their relationship.
