Burning Passion : Breaking All Rules

When love blossoms unexpectedly between a teacher and student, it is utterly passionate but also dangerous. Spying eyes linger even inside the most deserted hallways, waiting hungrily for a drop of fiery gossip. Gossip which can spell ruin for James’s famed career and for Lia’s chances at her dream university. Heartbreak follows more heartbreak when the two are separated for years through a spider web of misunderstandings and lies, only to be reunited again when fatefully James is Lia’s boss at work. The burning passion which was hidden away for years sparked again, and this time neither of them wanted to hold it in.

Chapter 52 - Hate

Ashton leads Liya into his fencing area. It's a huge, mostly empty room, enough to fit about two hundred people. The walls are painted dark and the floor is wooden. Liya walks towards the fencing piste, "Wow, you have the entire setup."

"Yeah, it's actually kind of a training centre. Many people come and use this place. We regularly hire trainers and sometimes conduct small-level competitions too."

"So a full-fledged fencer?"

"I'm learning. Come have a look at the equipment." Liya ambles towards Ashton gazing around the room.

"This is called-"

"This should be foil, I suppose," says Liya, running her fingers over the metal. Ashton looks at her in surprise. "This looks like the sabre, and this of course, epee."

"Wow, you know stuff."

"Just a little. I watch Olympic fencing intently." Liya clasps the handle of a weapon and lifts it, making some moves in the air.

"Woah, careful. It's not safe to use them without wearing the fencing gear."
