6 Chapter 6

Andy's POV

I felt a small whine slip out of my mouth into the sheets as I turned around and dragged the blankets over my head. I was still half asleep and couldn't for the life of me care if it was morning or not at the moment. I could feel sweat start to gather on my forehead and throat a few seconds after I had pulled the blankets over myself. With another small whine leaving my lips, I turned around once again and kicked the blankets off my body, feeling cold air ghost over my body almost immediately, and making a small sigh slip out of my mouth as I finally forced myself into blinking my eyes open.

A quick glance at the window a few feet away from where my bed was positioned showed me that the day was already bright, seeing as the sun was already really bright in the sky, but had thankfully not been able to really seep into my room, thanks to the fact that I had remembered to draw the curtains at a point when I had woken up to go use the bathroom in the midnight.

I was feeling uneasy, and also feeling very restless, making me let out a low groan as I pushed myself up into a sitting position. The sweat on my body was barely drying up even though I wasn't being cocooned in a blanket any longer. Instead, it seemed like I was managing to sweat out even more.

I ran my fingers through my soft hair and puffed out a slow breath, not liking how my insides felt really heated up and queasy. After some time, I finally pushed myself out of the bed and started to make my way to my reading table in order to check what the time currently was.

It was some minutes after eight in the morning.

A nagging feeling at the back of my mind reminded me that I had an eight a.m class this morning, but I had automatically ended up missing it this way, because it was already past eight and I was literally just getting out of bed. It's a good thing I have close friends in school who were going to help me put down my name on the attendance list.

I rubbed my fingers against my eyes as I pushed away from my table and started to make my way out of my bedroom, yawning a little as I pulled the door close behind me. I headed straight to the bathroom and as soon as I stepped into the bathroom, I got enveloped in Ash's stifling scent. He had definitely taken his bath this morning because the smell of him was very thick in the air, more stronger and prominent that usual, and it sent goosebumps pricking on my bare arms and also tugged on the insides of my stomach as I made my way deeper into the bathroom until I was standing before the mirror above the porcelain wash hand basin. I glanced into the mirror and noticed how it seemed like my skin was glowing, and I was yet to even wash my face for the day.

My eyes seemed extra wide then usual and it felt like a shimmering glow had come to settle over my face overnight, because I sure as hell didn't remember myself being this pretty yesterday.

It was in that moment that it hit me in the guts from nowhere that all what I've been feeling even before I became fully awake, had been all because of my heat which was around the corner. I breathed out a small sigh before glancing down and turning the tap open, and then I scooped some water in my palm and splashed it over my face a couple of times until the top of my shirt got a bit little wet from the water that managed to splash against it from the water running down my face as soon as I raised my head back up to stare into the mirror at my reflection once again.

The restlessness situated beneath my skin and the heat which I was feeling burning up uncomfortably inside of me was making me wonder if my heat was deciding to come earlier than usual. It wasn't due to come for the next two more days, but it was very much normal for me to start to get some symptoms of the upcoming heats four days to the actual day.

I just know that I was going to be moody as hell throughout the whole of today. It didn't help that I still have to go shop for some suppressants later in the day, aside from the rest of my classes for the day which I have to attend.

I let out a low groan that faintly echoed around the bathroom as I reached for my toothbrush and proceeded to clean my teeth.
