She rolled her eyes but he had seen her freeze. 

"That is none of your concern just as I and everything that has to do with me is none of your concern. Now do well to stay away from me." she warned him expressly. 

His eyes became even more serious and stubborn. "I can't do that and I won't. Not until I prove you wrong. If then you still don't feel the same about me..." he paused but took in a deep breath "I'll stop pursuing you."

She was about to say something else when they heard a voice that sounded like a very angry clarissa.
