The Most Unreliable of All Creatures

The God of Sea was unrelenting. The deity just could not take no for an answer.

"You literally just said you wouldn't turn me away. Then immediately, you do just that. What gives, Sky," Kai bit out in fiery frustration, while grinding his teeth.

"There are just certain inconveniences happening at home right now," the Sky God deflected smoothly. "I am remodeling certain parts of the house. Dust everywhere I tell you. Trust me. You wouldn't want to be within 1000 yards of that. Horrible filth."

The excuse sounded like a load of bull and he knew it. The God of Sea knew it too.

"That's bullshit," he growled in response. "If that was the case, why are the Ancient and New Gods having a gathering at your residence? That makes no sense at all."

It doesn't but damn it, the silver-haired god really couldn't think of a better excuse right now. He wasn't given the time to think this through adequately.
