The Arrival of Linda

"Ella, where did you meet him?" Linda looked at Ella and asked.

"At Lake City..." 

Seeing the master's eyes welling up with tears, Ella felt extremely scared.Could it be... that she was beyond help?

"Master, is there no hope for me?" Ella asked, her voice trembling and her face pale.

"Um... no, there's hope. You'll be okay," Linda said, her speech somewhat jumbled due to her emotional state.

In Ella's perception, the lord of the city had always been the epitome of calm and composure.

But now, Linda was so overwhelmed that she couldn't even speak clearly, her eyes reddening.

"The lord is just trying to comfort me... There must be something terribly wrong with me; I'm going to die," Ella thought, feeling a wave of weakness wash over her.

She was young; she still had a long life ahead of her and hadn't even amassed enough money yet!

Dying like this would be too cruel.
