91 Chapter 88
A/N: Chapter was supposed to come out later on today around 7pm, but I decided to release it at 6 am, so enjoy the chapter.
"You Must be the Messenger from the Empire" The one who said this wasn't Tommen, but instead the Hand of the King, Lord Harys Swyft. Around the Throne room were various nobles who wanted to see what the messenger from the Empire wanted.
Raymond didn't say anything about it and just continued on, "Yes, His Majesty has tasked me with negotiating with the King to try and get a peaceful resolution to the current conflict in hopes of saving lives on both sides"
Lord Harys squinted his eyes as looked at Raymond, "And what does his Majesty want for us to end this peacefully"
Raymond took a deep breath since what he was bout to say next was very risky, "If you surrender then he will spare your life even if you are a sworn house to House Lannister in exchange you will pledge your loyalty to the Emperor"
The crowd of nobles started murmuring amongst themselves after they heard what Raymond said. Lord Harys started laughing at what Raymond said, while the entire hall got quiet.
After a while Lord Harys had stopped laughing and looked at Raymond, "If your Emperor thinks that threatening us my sending a messenger that basically says surrender or die then surely he is foolish"
Just as he finishes saying that Cersei had walked in, "He is foolish indeed to think that we will surrender to a foreign army" Said Cersei
"Mother you came" Said Tommen as he was glad that his mother came
Cersei smiled at him and said a few words before she returned to talking to Raymond, "What ever proposal your Emperor has for us, we will not accept, no matter the circumstances"
Raymond sighed upon hearing this, since that means the negotiations failed, and now he must return to report this to the Emperor.
"If that is the case then if you would excuse me your grace I shall take my leave and inform the Emperor of your decision" Said Raymond as he turned to walk toward's the doors but 4 Kingsguard were blocking his way.
"You're not going anywhere after you threatened the King like that" Said Cersei, using that excuse to take him as a prisoner
"Arrest him" Said Cersei as the 4 Kingsguard had thrown him to the ground and started tieing his hands up.
"What is the meaning of this I am a messenger, you can't do this to me" Pleaded Raymond
Cersei ignored him as the Guards took him away. Lord Harys had looked at her, "Are you sure that was the right thing to do, Queen Cersei"
"Yes I'm sure since if they attack us we will use the Wildfire to our advantage which will kill thousands of their troops and give us the advantage and plus we have something that can fight against the dragon's, so it won't be a problem.
Lord Harys didn't know what type of weapon could go against a dragon, but he didn't ask anymore and took his leave.
Cersei and Tommen had left the Throne room and went to another room so that she could talk to him about notifying her when messenger's arrive.
Meanwhile, back in the front of the Gate's of Kingslanding where the dwarves were lined up, Daenerys was sitting on top of Caraxes waiting for the return of the Messenger. After a few minutes had passed, Hanzo had appeared before her
"Lady Daenerys, the messenger sent to negotiate with the King has been imprisoned under order's from the Queen regent Cersei and is currently being held in a dungeon" Reported Hanzo
"What, they dare to imprison a messenger" Daenerys wanted to storm the castle right now, but she remembered that in front of her was the best ninja that the Empire had.
"Hanzo, can you get him out of there" Asked Daenerys
"Yes My lady I can, though it won't be clean" Said Hanzo since the security in Kingslanding at this time was very high.
"I don't care, just rescue the Messenger using any means to do it" said Daenerys
Hanzo nodded as he vanished and went into Kingslanding to rescue the messenger. With him were a couple of other Ninja who would also carry out other tasks while they were inside the city.
