Reaching Level 20

As the sun began to set on what was an eventful first day in this new world, Kameron had found and killed many different animals in the forest.

Ranging from Rabbits to Boars and Deer, He had ended up reaching level 18 and increased his attributes quit a bit. With his 80 stat points he used 40 on his endurance and 40 on his intelligence, pushing his health to 800. His intelligence also increased to 50 which let his mana pool increase to reach 1500.

Taking a break from fighting for a minute he stored the green boar corpse in front of him in his inventory.

"Now I have exactly 30 rabbits and 22 boars. It sucks that the boars took so long to kill but at this point I should be able to reach level 20 before the sun completely goes down. I just need to find some animals around level 20."

(You should try finding places to rest soon, unless you want to spend the night in the open)

"I know, I just want to reach the next rank before it is completely dark. It's a personal goal"

(It can be dangerous at night. We don't know how strong the animals on this forest can get so try to speed it up)

Kameron smiled to himself and checked his stats as Ina became silent.

"Almost halfway to 19, let's just find some more monsters to fight. Ohh I can use my magic skill now. Though it'll empty out my mana instantly.

Breaking into light jog, Kameron looked around while moving within the of endless trees. It was at this time that he heard his stomach growl.

Now that he thought about it, he hasn't eaten all day. It's understandable but now if he reaches level 20 and is unable to find food or shelter it will be a difficult getting through the night.

"If only I had a fire sword, I would be able to cook the rabbits and eat them but I have a sword that freezes stuff..."

Kameron stopped as he stood still behind a tree. He had heard a branch crack he could also hear faint breathing. "What is it?" He wondered to himself as he focused his hearing just as the breathing became faster.

Just as he planned to name the animal he was hearing , it's foot steps against the ground were audible in Kameron's ears.

"One, two... four steps? If it's breathing like that it's probably a dog, but in the wilderness like this it has to be a wolf. I should be able to fight it, let me inspect it first though and see it's level."

Poking his head around the tree he looked into the distance as he saw a large green wolf walk out from a patch of bushes.

"Inspect"

"Not too bad, I should be able to fight it without much of a problem. Even though it's agility is a little higher than mine I should be able to win with well timed counter attacks."

Gripping his sword in his right hand, Kameron stepped out from behind the tree and dashed towards the Wolf.

Being about 20 meters from the Wolf it was able to turn and react to him before he could land a sneak attack. As it dodged the first attack by jumping to the side, the Wolf immediately counter attacked by trying to swing it's paw at Kameron.

Kameron, using his intuition to it's fullest, was able to judge the best way to deal with the situation. Barely side stepping the wolf, he took a step back to steady himself before swinging his sword in a horizontal arc smiling as the large sword cut across the wolf's side.

A second after the wolf was hit the wound instantly turned blue as blood froze before it could leak out from the wound.

"It shouldn't take to long if I can do that repeatedly" Kameron thought as he dodged the wolf's second attack, this time managing to cut across muscle in its back left leg.

"It should definitely slow down from that hit. I might be able to fight normally soon."

As the battle progressed the wolf began slowing down as the wound on its side froze from the first bite affect.

"This is a good time! Demonic Descent!"

Using all of his mana instantly made Kameron feel a bit light headed while he almost lost his footing, at the same time dark clouds gathered in a swiftly in a few seconds, covering the orange sky with depressingly black clouds.

Sensing the danger above its head the wolf tried to leave and run home, unfortunately the wound on it's leg froze and it collapsed. Before it could attempt to rise to its feet lightning fell from the sky striking its entire body directly.

As the whined in pain, Kameron focused his mind while running over to the wolf as the lightning and clouds both dissipated. The wolf was paralyzed for 3 seconds so it was helpless to Kameron's attacks.

Finally able to rest, Kameron sat down to rest beside the dead wolf and stored it in his inventory. So far the only time he used Gluttony was when tested it earlier.

His reason for not devouring the skills of the animals he had killed so far was because they were all common rank. He didn't want to devour the wolf he just killed either since it could sell for a lot of money.

After a few minutes he stood up feeling better already. Kameron's mana was regenerating quickly at 20 mana every 10 seconds. His blessing by the world made the original 4 mana every 10 seconds to 20. Greatly reducing the time needed to wait.

After continuing his hunt for another hour, Kameron fought and killed five more wind wolves until he reached level 20. When he had reached level 19 he put the stat points into his intelligence stat.

This helped his demonic lightning skill do a little more damage, while increasing his mana pool enough to not to feel light headed after using the skill.

Adding his stat points to his intelligence again his mana pool increased to a little over 2000.

Kameron looked up at the sky as he put the sword into his inventory. The sky was already darker than before and his vision was starting to be affected. If he wasted any more time fighting animals it would be completely dark before he found a place to rest.

"I need to find a place for the night..."
