Building A Kingdom with A Gacha System

Kameron, a teenage boy who tragically died alongside the girl he was falling in love with, is granted a second chance at life. But with his resurrection comes a mysterious Gacha system, which tasks him with the challenge of creating a brand new kingdom, giving him complete control over its destiny. As he navigates this unknown world and builds his empire, Kameron must face new challenges, unexpected twists and turns, and forge new alliances to establish his reign. But will his newfound power ultimately be a blessing or a curse? Hello, Zero here... this is just a book I’m writing for fun. Do I expect this to take off? No. I am just doing my own thing as original as can be. I have plans for this story but it probably won’t get that far. Give this story a review and you can be as tough as you want on me but please be aware that I am human and I have feelings.

History of the Village

Slowly opening his eyes, Kameron saw a wooden ceiling above him. "I'm so tired... how long have I been asleep for?" He said as he slowly sat up and stretched his arms.

(You are finally awake! It's been 3 days!) Ina yelled within his mind as he held his head with his hand.

"Yes I understand, please don't yell and give me a moment to get up..." he pleaded as he slowly got out of bed as the door opened. Turning to the doorway he saw a girl appearing to look in her early twenties walked into the room humming as she held a bowl of food in her hand.

"Finally I get to feed the hero!" She said as she looked up from the food and locked eyes with her hero, Kameron.

It was an awkward silence for a while as the girl's face became progressively redder. Just as Kameron was going to ask if she was ok, Ina got to the punch first.

(You are currently naked)

Hearing Ina's words and once again checking the girl's face, he noticed her eyes were looking at his lower body. Quickly pulling some pants out of his inventory, Kameron put them on before the girl was finally freed of her trance.

"So big! I mean... I-I'm sorry!" She yelled and placed down the bowl of food on a small table by the door before running out of the room leaving the door wide open.

(Seems she was shocked by your package, I was too at first) Ina once again commented before laughing sweetly within Kameron's mind.

Kameron, on the other hand, finished putting on a new set of clothes before soon hearing a knock on the door as an old man stood in the hallway peering into the room.

"Young hero, I am relieved to hear you woke up! I am the current head of this village, You can call me Leo." The old man said as he smiled at Kameron while taking a few steps into the room.

"I see, thank you for housing me while I was unconscious Mr. Leo," Kameron said as he walked over to the table and began to rapidly eat the food.

"Young hero, on behalf of everyone in this village, we want to thank you for saving us from the Demons," Leo said while bowing slightly to Kameron.

"You were asleep for 3 days young hero, are you feeling alright?" Leo asked seeing Kameron eat the food so quickly.

"I'm perfectly fine, do not worry about me please, if anything, well.... for starters, could you tell me about the situation of the village? Second, did any soldiers of the kingdom come here since the attack? And finally, did you tell anyone about me?" Kameron asked as he sat on the chair beside the small table after eating the food in under a minute.

"Mmm... Since you are the hero of our village I will first tell about you our situation." Leo said as he sat in another chair sitting against the wall beside the bed.

"This village is called Lumia. It is one of the few villages remaining in the south near the border of the demon race. Usually, troops from the army are stationed closer to the border to fight in skirmishes but in the last few months the army has pulled back the defensive line closer to the city and left villages like ours without their protection." Leo said as he sighed when thinking of this incident again.

"Before any of that happened though, we tried supporting the soldiers that stopped by in the village with buildings to rest in and food to eat, but some time ago there was someone with a high rank in the army, who came to the village for a few days with hundreds of soldiers before saying that their men needed the woman in the village to help them relieve their "stress" in exchange for protection from the demons." Thinking of this topic, the old man's eyes furrowed.

"I had refused them multiple times but one evening all the villagers were gathered together by the hundreds of soldiers staying in the area and given an ultimatum, either go along with their idea or die to the demons.

I had to do everything in my power to remain calm at the time since as the village head, the people looked to me for help, but I wouldn't sacrifice my people for protection from demons that had never appeared in the area around the village in over 1000 years.

You see, many women were happily married and some who had just turned of age to marry were present in the village at the time. I wouldn't force them to become the playthings of the soldiers but... one girl... she was a beautiful young lady who had come of age a few years prior and had also yet to marry. She wanted to keep the village safe from the demons and though many people tried to stop her, she was adamant about protecting her home.

All of the older adults told her that the decision would be life-changing but she was stubborn... in the end, she accepted the idea alone, in front of everyone in the village.

What nobody had expected was for the soldiers to start their "relief" in front of everyone! They pounced on the young lady like a bunch of wolves, tearing her clothes and revealing her body to everyone.

The younger children were quickly taken home but the other adults were angered by the soldiers and called them beasts while they ravaged the poor girl.

For 5 hours the girl stayed in that area with hundreds of soldiers, most people were too sickened by what was happening and didn't bother to stay even 2 minutes but only 2 people stayed the entire time, her loving parents.

After the soldiers were finished with their fun, the girl was taken home, bruised, broken, and unconscious. When she had awoken the next morning she apologized to her parents for shaming them so much and then ended her life after a few days of repeated "relief".

Since then, the soldiers had stopped being nice with their requests. Since no woman wanted to go through what the girl had experienced they refused to go with them. After a few weeks, the woman was forcefully taken away by the soldiers for "relief" and anyone who tried to fight against the army was labeled as a rebel and killed.

Not wanting their families to die for them, the woman went with the soldiers willingly after promising their family they would be fine.

Sadly, they also returned broken after a few days. They no longer wanted to feel the touch of their husbands and were always beside their children if they had any. Some women had nightmares and woke up crying while a few had taken their lives from PTSD.

Since then, the soldiers of the army got their wish every few weeks and the head soldier that came up with the "relief idea", Commander Piek, remained at the border fighting the demons. That was until a few months ago, when the army suddenly pulled back the defensive line, closer to the Lennox.

I can say this, young hero, we do not want to mingle with the kingdom's army anymore, they treated us horribly, took our wives from us, and then left after getting what they wanted from us!" Leo said as he had to take a few breaths to calm himself before he continued. "We had to give them our food and our blankets whenever they asked, they killed all of the animals in our farms when we said we had nothing left to give. Then simply left. Everyone in this village hates the army."

Kameron was listening silently with a relaxed expression on his face but in his mind he was furious. "Humans can be evil too..." he thought as he calmed himself a bit before asking about the other two questions.

"Ohh yes, your other questions, let's see. Someone from the army did come here to investigate the demon attack but they left after we said a random mage came and wiped them out. No information about you was leaked." The village head, Leo, said confidently.

"I see, thank you. How many villagers are there in the village now?" Kameron asked.

"Only about 50 of us are left, many people died during the attack... young hero, we won't be able to survive another attack so we are leaving today. If you hadn't woken up we would have had to take you in a cart." Leo said laughing lightly.

"Instead of leaving your home and making a new life for yourselves. Why not stay and become the first residents of my kingdom?" Kameron suddenly said, surprisingly Leo greatly.

"Your kingdom? What do you mean? I see that you are a powerful mage but I didn't know there was a king other than that Ackerman. And what do you mean becoming your first residents, are you just proclaiming yourself a king?" Leo asked a bit confused by the sudden change of topic.

"Let me explain for you. I do not strive to become a strong fighter or mage. My goal is to create a kingdom that accepts all people of the world and create a place of neutrality and peace, within this war-torn continent. Be it, human, demon, or fish. All will be accepted if they want to live somewhere safe and away from war." Kameron said confidently as he looked at the old man across from him.

"Even demons?" Leo asked worriedly

"Do you believe that all demons are bad?" Kameron said answering his question with another.

"Well no, children are always innocent until their worldview is twisted by others. Plus some truly wonderful people live in this village so if it is possible for humans I see no reason that there wouldn't be some good demons out there..." Leo said after a few moments of intense thinking.

"Exactly, though the demons did attack and they killed many people, they are soldiers of an army, what do you think would happen if humans found a demon village?" Kameron said and asked another question.

"The... same thing..."

"Correct. Now, do you see? This war has been going on for thousands of years, there are bound to be some demons who don't want war anymore. That is why I say demons can be included in the population of my kingdom." Kameron said with a smile.

"You certainly have big dreams young hero, but you will need a lot of power to protect this kingdom of yours. Neither kingdom, human or demon, will let some foreign power develop right under their nose." Leo said.

"That's why I want to show you my power, will you gather everyone in the village for me at the gate? I'll convince you that my dreams aren't just childish dreams and that I have the power to make them a reality!" Kameron said as he jumped to his feet and clenched his fist.
