1 The official hotties.

The light shuffling of feet downstairs followed by the cabinets closing and opening, the sound of father trying to make breakfast. The twist and turn into a knot in her stomach grew with every button she buttons up. She has spent her last few months in the hospital excitedly awaiting for this day-school. The day I knew that I would be out of being bed-ridden, I was thrilled.

Vera let out a long breath as she force a smile standing in front of the mirror. She would be lying if she said that she wasn't scared. She wasn't nervous, she was scared. She was afraid that her friends wouldn't be as comfortable around her as they was four months ago.

"Vera!" Father shouted from below getting her attention. Quickly brushing out the stubborn knots in her brown locks she head downstairs with her backpack in hand. She had this bag pack since the last week.

"Look's amazing. Thanks papa." She gave him a side hug like she do every morning to remind him how much she loves and appreciate his burnt toast.

"It'll look better tomorrow. I promise." He held out his pinky. Vera hook her's with his as they stamped their thumbs. The childish action makes them chuckle.

Within minutes, Vera was at the front of Han Academy. She squinted her eyes as it follows up the tall walls. A smile grew on her lips as she watch the familiar scene of students running to their classes hurriedly.

Vera pulled onto her backpack's straps as she picked up her pace into a jog then into a run.

Beep...Beep...Beep...

She stops panting, placing both her hands on her knees as she bent over trying her best to catch her breath. A trotting ache came from her chest as she groan in pain scrunching up the fabric of her top. She lifter up her heart monitor that sits on her wrist.

"119..." She says to herself in between her breath. That's a dangerous level, however, it has never reach a critical level before. Well, yet.

Once the pain fades, she straightens herself as well as her attire. Using the back of her hand she wipes away the beads of sweat that was trickling down the side of her face.

Pushing open the sliding door, it reveals her classroom. The desks were paired in twos as they are crammed together in the small room allowing maximum walking space in between.

The familiar smell greeted her. Her eyes scan the whole room. A wide grin appeared on her lips when she spotted the face of her best friend-Stella. With quick-wide steps, she jumped behind her. Stella jerked to the sudden surprise, her frown turned into a smile when she realised who it was.

"Vera!" She screamed as she shoots up from her seat, throwing her arms over Vera's shoulder into a hug as she sway her left to

right.

"I missed you." Vera pouted as she patted the back of her best friend comforting her.

"No way! Vera?"

Vera pulled out of the hug as she directed her attention towards her other best friend whom was running into the classroom with his hands wide open.

"Mark!" She jumped into his embrace as he twirl her around. Giggles erupted amongst them as they were happy that the three-musketeers were finally a completed puzzle piece.

"I was so lonely without you, Vera. You have no idea. Mark wouldn't stop bullying me." Stella complained and whine. This is really how it was-Vera, the mom. Whilst Mark was the dog and Stella was the cat. Mark looks like he was the leader but really he was soft and timid on the inside. Stella on the other hand may look cute and adorable on the outside, feisty and fierce on the inside.

The sudden high-pitched screams snaps all of them out of their conversation. Jake, Wyatt and Nicholas-the official hotties of the school.

It's impossible to not admit to find them handsome easily. It's also hard to admit to not having crushes on them.

Vera was drooling at the scene of Jake strutting in with his slightly greasy light-brown hair, perfectly comb into perfection. His attire messily tucked in but that turned many on. This is one out of the many scenes that Vera misses dearly.

Mark sucks into between his teeth as he gave both Stella and Vera a side eye.

This is Vera's school life that she misses so much when she was in pain, laying down in the chemical-scented hospital bed.
