4 Chapter 4 - Crippled

The group of 5 looked back, realizing someone was screaming, only to see the same woman who was fighting to protect that man not only shoot him in the leg

But even curse him, calling him a monster, although they felt frustration at this treatment, they suppressed there emotions when the woman got bit in the neck by a walker

Emotions of pity and sadness welled up in there hearts

"Turn your heads, don't look back, they're just distractions" Adrian said, before hitting a walker in the head with his pickaxe

Bryan slowly emerges from the bushes, "What is this? Some supernatural shit????" He said to himself, "Like dude, all the zombies got killed! Well not all of em but most of em!" he continued

Before running to where the school would be, he was met with a sad sight, not only was the school on fire, but everywhere was on file, he had forgot that the school had a playground, the swings and slide which were made of plastic caught on fire, as well as the grass

"Damn that's unfortunate" Bryan said, giving a moment of silence for all the guns in there, he couldn't care if there were any other survivors in there, after all it was every man for himself, though he wasn't evil he wasn't gonna waste his time

As he turned around, he saw a bandana flying in the wind, he jumped and caught it, "this could be useful" Bryan had an idea, he wanted to create a force of warriors, like negan

Across the school were dozens of houses, one of the houses had a bike near the it, but it was behind a fence

Although he could just run his way to wherever he was going, he wasn't in the mood to use his legs, Imagine walking, only peasants do that...MONGREL

Running towards the fence, and jumping over it, there was a zombie on the floor, because of the angle it was at he hadn't noticed it from afar, but now that he was up close he noticed it

He casually crushed it with his leg, and then got on the bike, "Shit this thing is big" Bryan said to himself, it looked like something an adult would use

But after some trial and error he got on it, before realizing that there was a fence in front of him, he wasn't that skilled in the art of using a bike, he wasn't an athlete, just a cop

So he clearly annoyed, climbed off the bike, opened the fence, then got on it again, he had an idea of where he wanted to go, he was gonna go to Regla city, it was next to Cynthia City that was the city King County was in

As he was on the bike, he put his legs on the pedal, and biked away

After an hour of riding Bryan had made it to the border of the city, there was a sign next to him saying "You're leaving Cynthia City" and on the other side of it said "Welcome to Regla City"

To the side of him was a big ass feild, if you peered into the distance you could see a farm there, it was bigger than hershel's farm, to his other side of him was a forrest, with bushes etc

Suddenly the bushes started shaking, Bryan immediately pulled out his gun but before he could react, multiple people came out of the bushes, with rifle's pointed at him

At this point it was a stand still, the pressure in the scene was so thick one could slice it with a knife (figuratively speaking)

"Leave, this doesn't have to get ugly" Bryan said threateningly, cocking his gun

The 3 people that came out of the bushes looked at each other before bursting out in laughter, but their guns were still pointed at Bryan, the tallest one stepped forward, "HAHAHAHA, what is a little kid like you doing all the way out here?" He said. You could tell from his tone that he wasn't taking bryan seriously

"Little boy, hand over your guns and maybe we'll let you go" Jared said, he was the 2nd biggest of the 3, the biggest one was named Arnold, the 3rd guy named Barry licked his lips sadistically

'Faggot' Bryan thought to himself, seeing Barry lick his lips like that, 'What is he a convicted pedophile?? How did he escape??' he thought to himself

"No you drop your guns, maybe I'll spare you" Bryan said angrily, before he could continue talking Arnold pulled the trigger to his gun, shooting at Bryan's arm

Turning it into swiss cheese, causing Bryan to pass out from the pain

"Bring me a scalpel" A doctor said, he was wearing a face-mask as well, he seemed to be staring at a boy who was on the operation table

"Such an interesting boy, he so big and strong, at such a young age" The doctor said, his name was Nirk, his parents named him Nirk since his older brother was named Nick

"Unfortunately, I'll have to remove this arm" The doctor said, pity clearly present in his voice, it's a shame that such a boy not only has to grow up in this cruel world, but he has to survive from the dead with 1 arm

"Truly a pity" A survivor said, walking into the room with a scalpel

"How long have you been eavesdropping for?" Nirk said, pushing up his glasses with his bloody glove, he had used pliers to pull out shards of the bullets, but now he had to remove the arm entirely, if he was in a real hospital he could easily save the arm, but unfortunately they're not, and even if he had the tools and chemicals such as pain killer's etc, he wouldn't waste it on a kid

Such resources are rare now a day's

"I just got here, like a few seconds ago" The survivor said softly, her name was Sherri, walking closer to the doctor, she handed him the scalpel and left the room quietly

The boy on the table was none other than Bryan, before Bryan had got shot, the group of 3 men were sent out by there community to go and scavenge for material's, they turned out to have found bryan he was making there job hard so they shot him

Arnold was nice enough to carry Bryan back to there base, he had children of his own, Bryan happened to look similar to his youngest son who had died due to a zombie bite

After getting shot, he had passed out, he had been put in a coma

Now was the best time to do surgery, if his body goes into shock because of the pain then oh well, it is what it is right? Lol

Author's Notes -

MC was being to arrogant, just because of some magical power, I made this chapter as a rude awakening for him, he's gonna have to work for his shit, the world won't just come and give him shit cuz he's the protag

Actually rick is still the protagonist of this world, he's just a bypasser that happened to come by, but Bryan is the protag of this novel, so he won't die easily
