1 chapter-1 Declaration of war

It's December 8th 1941 a day after the shocking attack on pearl Harbor by the Empire of Japan on a US Navy base . American President Franklin D Roosevelt announced that the US will the entering into war that was started 2 years ago in 1939 when the British and the French had declared war against Nazi Germany Facist Italy and Japan. For the British the US entry into the conflict was a huge relief as they gained a crucial ally and could not formulate plans for an allied counter attack and for the Germans another unwanted enemy. At this point the Germans had the upper hand but the United States posed a serious threat to Hitler's dreams of creating a great German Empire.

This sudden announcement stunned the public it was all to sudden for the past 2 decades the US were living in relative peace and now finally their economy had recovers from the Wall Street crash in 1929. Little did they know that this was was going to change the country as a whole.

With the declaration of war the US government began mass recruitment for the army. Young and able men eagerly joined in to face their new enemies. It was more of a forced situation to enter the battlefield as unemployed was still a major issue and people wanted some sort of employees.

Hence young and able men voluntarily joined the army while older men worked at factories to help supply weapons and ammunition needed for the war.

Among the various men who joined the military one of them was John Taylor. He was 19 years old and grew up in the wilderness of Fairbanks Alaska. He spent his childhood there hunting bear's and willow birds in his hometown . He was fresh out of high school and was eager to join the military as he grew up to be a patriot who wished to serve his nation. His father Bernard Taylor also served in the military during the great war and was killed in action. John aspired to show the same courage and resilience his father showed when he served the army owing to his patriotic nature. He was thin and pretty tall but appearance can never describe his physical capabilities. His Harsh upbringing in the Wilderness made him extremely Strong and courageous.

When military training began he showed exceptional physical capabilities and aiming particularly with the rifle. His experience while hunting enabled him to fire at target's with ease and predict the trajectory recoil bullet velocity distance and hit his targets at practice. He was assigned to be a Sniper and tasked with eliminating enemy snipers and other important artillery positions.
