5 chapter five.

Nora was busy having lunch with Louis when she got a phone call from her secretary. She was informed of the sudden death of Ty's mother. The doctors supposedly said that she had a mental breakdown and her body couldn't take all the stress anymore and that was the end of her. But Nora and Ty knew better. Somebody was behind her death. Though Nora didn't know who it was, she knew somebody somewhere didn't want the best for Ty's family as he had lost everything when he came to live with her. The next thing she knew was that his mother was locked up in the hospital yet the last time she saw her, she was perfectly fine.

"Poor guy, he must be going through a lot now." she thought to herself. She longed to help him after kicking him out of the house for she knew he had nowhere or noone to go to, but she stopped herself every time for she thought that he deserved it after breaking up with her after all she had done for him.

The problem was, she wasn't raised that way, her mother always taught her to be kind and affectionate to everyone no matter what they did to her. So as the good girl that Nora was she had her secretary look out for Ty and wherever he went. if he needed any help she was to help him anonymously. When she was informed that after Ty left their or rather her house, he was taken in by his friend Dick, so Nora rested easily knowing that he was safe. She couldn't help but think of what Ty was going through right now. loosing both parents at a span of less than five months and loosing everything too, must have been hard.

"How is he doing? " She asked her secretary who quickly informed her that he was more miserable than ever, every single day he would wake up early and at around 6 he'd be in the funeral home where his mother laid in a coffin as those who wished to say their goodbyes would come in turns every single day till the funeral day. He would stay there the whole day, sitting on a stool next to his mother and look at her till sunset and he would repeat this the following day.

Nora couldn't help but feel remorseful as she could imagine the sight. A tear drop escaped from her right eye as she tried to control the tears that were threatening to be released.

"What about his girlfriend, Allison, is she always there with him?" Nora asked calmly no matter how it ached her when she knew that it should have been her there comforting him.

"I haven't seen her since the day Ty left your house. Rumour has it that the two broke up," her secretary told her.

In a way this relieved her but also made her heart beat several beats with a lot of pain that was surely unfathomable. If the two broke up, she wondered why Ty never came back to say that he was sorry and stupid for ever leaving her side and that he wanted them to get back together. Maybe he didn't love her after all. It was hight time she started accepting the fact that their chapter together was closed.

"Okay, thank you for the info Nell. I owe you one," she said a bitter smile forming itself on her face.

" Anytime Madam. Do you need something else?" she asked knowing perfectly what Nora would ask next.

"When is the funeral?"

" It's the day after tomorrow, " Nell answered back.

"Get the boys to get my plane ready," She said authoritatively. " I'm flying tomorrow over there at around, let's say 10 o'clock in the morning. Make sure everything is ready for my arrival." she added and hang up the phone as soon as she was done.

"Are you really going to the funeral Nora, after all that bastard has done to you?" Louis asked concern evident all over his face.

"Yes. I'm going. I need to pay my last respects to Cecilia, she was like a mother to me too for the short time I've known her. It'd be really rude if I didn't show up there yet she was there when my mom and dad passed along too. It's the least I can do. And you don't have to worry about a thing Louis, I'll be fine. " she said smiling while patting his hand to assure him that she'd be okay.

She knew that he was worried what would happen when she saw Ty again and the effect it would have on her. To be honest she was too. But she needed to be strong for her and the baby she carried. The doctors had advised her that stress might do the baby harm and so she needed to stay in a peaceful and non stressful environment, eat healthy and get enough rest. Nobody knew about her pregnancy well apart from Louis who had rushed her to the hospital after she had fainted during one of their meetings as the two were now business partners. She was surprised herself when the doctors told her that she was two months pregnant. It had been four months now since she conceived the baby and a little bump around her stomach was starting to show.

She wasn't sure who the baby's father was,as she had sex on the night that she had broken up with Ty. This all the more confused her. If the baby was Ty's then regrets would haunt her as she was not planning to tell him about the pregnancy. Well and if it was Louis' child, she would love it all the same even if she didn't love him and maybe in the process of the two raising the child she'd learn to love him and maybe get married to him someday.

The thought of getting married to this handsome god that sat right next to her sent chills running down her spine. And she somehow wished that the baby would be his and not Ty's. She was finally moving on and leaving all the painful memories behind.

"Well then I'll go with you to make sure that you are okay." Louis said leaving her no chance to debate against him coming along. Well maybe it was for the best.

"Okay" she said throwing him a sincere smile and the two continued to have their lunch while talking about how they'd expand their businesses together.
