57 55 : Reunited

Three years ago…

" - You can't treat him like that !" London shouted to Silas. " Isn't he your lover ??? How can you just let other do shit with him while you're in your office, enjoying yourself ?!!! "

Silas groaned and rubbed his eyes. He turned his head to see an angry London. His friend just came ten minutes ago to see Haru. But the latter was with one of Satoh's client. Silas knew he should have stop them but he couldn't defy his older brother. He just gave up with the time.

Fortunately, London came today and practically throw every chair and glasses to the client who was with Haru earlier.

The omega was crying for help during the act, but Silas just turned a blind eye. A part of him was against it but then again, he was remembering how he was nothing compared to his brother and how this client was important for both of them. For the sake of his success, he thought he should just shut his mouth.

" - You're an asshole !!" London growled.

" - And what do you want me to do !?!?" Silas got mad. " Wanna take him with you ? This omega has to be with me. But to be with me he has to do this. That's how is it in our family…"

" - You're crazy… "

" - You're the least suited to lecture me," Silas sighed before he gulped down a glass filled of scotch.

" - Yeah. Yeah you're fucking right ! I'm a submissive alpha who like having sex. Yeah ! I'm the bitch, right ?"

" - London… I…"

" - But just so you know, I've never treated someone like that in all my life ! Not then and not now. Nor in the near future ! Never ! I can be a real dick sometimes but what you're doing is inhuman ! You're not better than your fucking grandfather! Do you think this omega is still in love with you ?"

" - London !" Silas growled.

London laughed out loud.

" - You're dreaming Silas ! You brought him here with so many beautiful promises but you destroyed it all !"

" - He betrayed me first ! He slept with my own butler ! How do you think I felt ?!" Silas screamed.

" - That's a fucking lie you're telling yourself because you screwed up ! This omega loved you so much, do you really think he was able to cheat on you ?! You believed this butler because of your damn inferiority complex ! You condemned this innocent boy and punished him with your own hands and now what ? You sold him to these dirty pig for money ? Sponsorship ? Wake up Silas ! You're the one ruining yourself ! This omega was probably the only one who genuinely cared for you and you fucked up ! Don't come crying when you will be alone !"

After his screams, London left in a hurry. Behind him, Silas was shouting that he didn't know anything. Little did London know that that day was the last time he could see Haru…

London's smile slowly disappeared when he saw the omega standing up.

His heart was beating fast and he was draining from his blood as if he just saw a ghost.

Though the omega was different, London couldn't forget him.

Haru. Silas' fated partner. The alleged deceased omega. The one he had cried the death for months… was actually standing in front of him, face paled with an unreadable expression.

" - Ha… Haru ?" London managed to ask.

Akihito was frowning deeper. It was true that London Priest was not include in his revenge plan, but he did not want his wife to be found by Silas' friends.

By instinct, Akihito moved closer to Haru and took his hand.

" - Why is he here ?" Akihito asked, angry, to Thomas.

" - My deepest apologizes. I know what you're afraid about but I can assure you that… he's harmless," Thomas said as he placed London behind him to protect him from the dark pheromones Akihito was releasing.

" - Calm down son," Ren said. " You will scared the young man. Plus… look."

Akihito followed Ren's eyes. He was watching Haru who did not seem afraid of London. No… his eyes were shining and he looked a little bit happy tho there was another feeling close to uneasiness.

" - Explain, " Akihito finally said to Thomas.

" - I met him during one of the traditional charity gala. It's been around two months since London and I are dating each other secretly. Because of the work you gave me, I couldn't talk to you and confess about my relationship with one of Silas' friends. But… for the past two months, London told me about Haru without knowing that he was alive. He seemed really fond of him so I thought I should let Haru be the judge of him…" Thomas said.

Akihito was about to say something but Haru slowly walked towards London. And the latter did the same.

" - You… got bigger," London smiled.

" - You seem happier," Haru replied with the same smile.

London carefully took Haru in his arms and patted his back.

" - You did your best to survive until then. Thank you and I'm sorry. I should have come see you even if I was angry with him…"

" - It's okay," Haru reassured him. " I have my family now. I'm more than happy. "

After the long hug they all sat back in the living room and exchanged a few words and explanations.

" - The last time I saw Silas was during a party," London remembered. " Since your death… I mean your supposed death, Silas and me… we don't talk much to each other. He doesn't contact me anymore. Things started to change recently.."

" - What do you mean ?" Haru asked.

" - Hum… I met Silas in high school. We were not friends but our parents were close so eventually, we sticked to each other because we thought it was normal. Silas was already closed to Arnold and Hassan at that time. I came around latter. We don't really match though. Arnold is more serious than anything else but because Silas is his childhood friend, he would show his face from time to time. Hassan has always been the bold, stubborn and daring one. I'm… I was the party one. And… you may not believe me but Silas was actually the gentle one. "

Haru looked down and sighed. He knew Silas too well so he knew that London was telling the truth. Haru smiled when he saw his husband winced. So Akihito already noticed it, that Silas was nice in a way.

" - He wasn't like that you know…" London pursued. " I'm not defending him I'm just stating a fact. Silas started to change because of his brother and his grandfather. The Kanzaki Clan is a real patriarchy. His grandfather is the king and he acknowledges people who served him right. Though Silas is a typical alpha, he lacked awareness and leadership unlike his older brother and his little sister. The pressure forced him to do things he hated and eventually, he started to become like his brother and his grandfather. But from time to time, his old self take the upper hand. "

" - He's weak." Zaizen stated.

" - He is." London confirmed. " That's why he will keep loosing."

" - Don't tell anyone Haru is alive. Word will got out one day, but not now and not from you." Akihito warned him.

" - I told you. Because of Haru, I'm not close with him anymore. I'm not friend with killer."

" - You don't have to… Silas is your friend, we understand. " Alicia said.

" - Like I said, we were close only because of our family. Mine recently throw me out so, everything is good. Plus, I have always been on Haru's side. " London said the last sentence with a smile.

Haru responded with a genuine smile. Next to him, Akihito was trying to understand the situation. Haru did not seem afraid of London. And he did not have a seizure because of his dark memories. So maybe, London wasn't a bad guy. Moreover, if Thomas had choose him, he wanted to trust the submissive alpha.

" - Why… did you not try to save him ?" Gordon asked to London.

The latter's expression saddened as soon as Gordon's question hit him.

" - I don't have any excuses," He started. " My family might be powerful but they hate omegas more than anything. And at that time, I was at their hands. One step wrong, I could die."

" - Yeah… I remember," Haru said with a sad voice. " We talked a lot back then." Haru said to Akihito. " London was my… only friend if I can say it like that. He was really good to me. Back in the day, he was always depressed."

" - Family's stuff," London confirmed to Akihito's inquiring look. " I couldn't go there again after my fight with Silas. Even if I wanted to, my family was fighting each other so I couldn't just visit Haru in time. When finally I had had an opportunity to escape, Silas told me that Haru was back in the club. And when I went there, Gisele told me he was dead. "

" - She wanted to protect him," Zaizen said.

" - I know. I don't blame her. I'm just telling you the story as it is." London said. " I promise you all I will not say anything. I wanted to save Haru back there but I couldn't. So… far be it from me to give him back to Silas. He already had his chance. "

" - Thank you…" Akihito said, touched by the honest look of London.

He was still wary, but he trusted Haru. His wife wasn't avoiding London. Plus, it was too late to throw the man out.

They all decided to eat at the Ogata's mansion that night. Haru was happy to meet London again. They both discussed about their life. Haru was so excited to tell London about his husband and his baby. And London was like a fanboy meeting his idol after many years. He even teared up when Haru showed him his baby bump.

While all of them were enjoying their time in the living room. Gordon joined Thomas who was smoking outside on the terrace.

" - It's been a while," Thomas sighed. " Two years, right ? And the first thing you're telling me is you're getting a divorce."

" - Sorry… I wanted to see you in better circumstances…" Gordon replied.

" - Well… guess he did something awful to push you to do this. "

" - He cheated."

Thomas froze. He clenched his jaw, trying to not let his anger out.

" - This motherfucker !" He shouted anyway.

Gordon giggled.

" - Don't smile ! I'm really angry ! You should have come to me !"

" - What about you ?" Gordon asked more seriously.

Thomas frowned not understanding the flow of the conversation anymore.

" - You're dating the Priests' son," Gordon said with a trembling voice.

No one was around. Thomas crushed his stub in the ashtray he took with him earlier and sighed again.

" - Yeah…"

" - Do you !" Gordon looked behind him to be sure they were alone and asked in a whisper : " Do you even love him ?"

Thomas did not answer.

" - Does he know his family are behind your parents' death ? "

Thomas closed his eyes.

" - Don't tell me you're dating him to find dirt on his family ?!" Gordon whisper-yelled. " He's innocent !"

" - Is he ?" Thomas simply said with a cold demeanor.

" - I don't know what you're trying to do, but stop it right now. Or you're going to regret it !" Gordon warned him.
