Making History With Evolutions!

Steven and his team got back to base camp and Steven took out all 5 stones that Prince had taken from the pile. Everyone was stunned as they looked at the very pretty stones, except Steven who picked up the blue stone that was different from the other black moon stones and eyed it carefully.

He thought to himself but also everyone else,"Prince just got his own evolution stone!"

Prince and everyone else were startled by this news and Prince was confused as he said,'What? My evolution stone? Males only evolve to the Kirlia stage while the Females evolve into Gardevoir, that is why we are a matriarchal society. My people have never used a stone before!"

Steven shook his head and said,"Yes, that is how it is in nature. You would have to have heaven sent luck to chance upon a dawn stone by accident. Even trying to find one on purpose is extremely difficult. It seems someone is still looking out for us to have this encounter and chance so early in our journey!" 

Prince was a tad frustrated and asked,"My Lord… I don't understand, if no one on this world has seen or even knows of this evolution and the actual species themselves are telling you that it is not possible, how do you so adamantly press that this is real and furthermore, to even possess knowledge that no one else has?"

Stevens' eyes froze and his heart stopped for a moment and he looked Prince deep into his eyes and said,"I simply know it to be true. Before I came to this world and saved you, I lived in a different universe, and the god of that universe sent me here after my death because I lived such a tortuous and miserable existence. I possessed knowledge of this world through the companies that watched this ball of dirt in a different universe. The Pokemon company back on my world that had 0 pokemon on it was still a giant mega corporation that regularly released information about this world in the form of games, books, and even movies and shows…"

Steven was tired of trying to hide his origin around his pokemon and so simply told them the truth. He also added,"That's also why my mind feels "like it had been touched by a god" as you put it back when we first interacted. It was that god who taught me how to speak to others telepathically as he wanted to have a conversation with me at the time. He pitied my existence and used part of his soul to send me here, so that I could live my life of adventure."

Everyone on the team spent the next few minutes asking Steven the details of his previous life and finally they all started to understand why Steven was such a monster! He literally knew this world and the things on it better than everyone else!

Prince was deep in thought as he asked,"So I will be the first Male to evolve to his peak form?"

Steven shrugged and replied,"There is a chance it had happened a couple of times throughout the many millinea, however I seriously doubt it. You may very well be the first. You'll be making history as the first ever 'Gallade'!

Prince's eyes shot open as he muttered out,"Gallade…" It seemed perfect as a name. It was noble, respectable and gave off a certain dignity, like it was a fated match. Prince knew that Steven was 100% telling the truth now, hed have to be a fool to try and deny it at this point.

Then prince thought of something and asked another question,"Wait, wait, wait. So these moon stones will also allow certain pokemon to evolve? Which ones?"

Steven touched his chin in thought and then responded,"Hm.. Well there are a few, however the 3 I will be focusing on this project are Jigglypuff, Nidoran Male and Nidoran Female. Its weird because In my timeline this information about there evolutions was already known. There are recorded instanced of Nidoking in some of the mountains however the female counterpart has never been seen before, so most think that rather than an evolution, they were mutated is some way. At least thats the theory so far from the scientist on this earth."

Prince asked,"So when do you plan to reveal this?"

Steven smiled and said,"Actually once we get out of the cave I am going to send Lance and Oak an invitation to the conference I will be holding. Im sure by now that my theories have started to have serious traction in the scientific world and thus everyone will be clammoring for a seat for this mystery!"

Prince smiled and said,"They are going to piss themselves in excitement! You are opening so many possibilities with this!"

The others on the team laughed and continued to speak about what they were going to do once they got out of the cave as well as asking Steven about his old world. Steven was much more relaxed now that he had taken this great burden of a secret off of his shoulders. To be safe though, he did ask his pokemon to not tell anyone, and they completely understand his reasoning! Anyone else would probably call him crazy!

Lance and Oak were sitting in the Boundless Research lab with Brock as he went over his completed report on his project. Professor Elm was also there and he would ask very deep level questions when needed to make sure he was understanding everything correctly. After the report was done the 4 men all had smiles on their faces. This was a huge breakthrough.

Elm was the first speak as he said,"Its perfect! It perfectly captures that long last hidden piece we were searching for when it comes to breeding! This is an era defining achievement!"

Brock beamed a smile and said,"I thank you, Sir Elm. Truly most of the work and calculations were done by Steven, however he hit a roadblock in his research. I was simply able to take my pokemon breeding and raising knowledge and apply them here. It was all luck."

Oak shook his head and said,"Brock, I am going to use my authority as founding member of this board to tell you that you are severely wrong. In fact you are so wrong that Steven figured you would eventually do this and so simply told me to tell you this. "I cannot figure out the rest of this on my own, I am simply not able to with abilities. This is why I hired you Brock, because even though you don't know it, you are an amazing individual". He also told me to tell you after you completed it to the correct standards, which you have done so splendidly, that this paper will go out to the world with two names on it as a joint research project. "Egg Moves are Inherited. Collaboration effort of Steven Morgans And Brock Harrison of Boundless Research."

Brock was stunned and he hurriedly bowed to Oak and said,"It would be my honor!"

Oak shook his hand and said dismissively,"Ah you youngins! Steven hired you to complete 2 projects. Now that this one is done, I suspect that you will be jumping straight into the next one right?"

Brock shook his head and said,"No, I still don't think I am qualified to touch this subject and need to do alot of research for this. I actually have another project I wish to submit for review!"

Oak and Lance both said,"Oh?" at the same time and Lance asked,"Well, don't keep us waiting, what is it?"

Brock then said,"I wish to study and prove why Tyrogue's evolve into either hitmonchop, hitmonlee, or hitmonchan!"

Oak and Elm looked at each other and then both of them approved. No one had ever cracked this problem before, so if Brock could do it, it would mean alot for himself and ALOT for boundless. Boundless was destined to become a company whos potential was, well, boundless!

Suddenly all 4 men recieved a notification on their wristwatches which were connected to their phones. Oak read the message aloud,"Dear Boundless heads, I will be holding a research conference in Cerulean City where I will be unveiling something that will shake the foundations of the pokemon world! Nothing will be the same after this conference! I can't tell you what it is as you surely wouldn't believe me. Thus it will be a surprise to you all as well. I am inviting you as VIP's to the conference however I do need a favor. Please bring these 3 pokemon, all at least level 30 to Cerulean City. Nidorino, Nidorina, and Jigglypuff."

All four men looked at each other with concern and excitement in their eyes. Oak laughed and said boisterously,"This lad makes me feel like Im 40 again hahaha!! Come on! Lets bring him these three pokemon, I can't wait to see what miracle he brings about this time!"

6 days later and many scientists from all over the globe were heading to a conference being held by one the newest and most popular company around, Boundless research! This conference was being advertised as another Epoch and Era defining breakthrough so none of the scientists coming to this conference dared to take it lightly and thus with permission from Boundless, the event was being televised not only to each scientists lab, but also to the general public! This was quite rare as the general public rarely showed any interest in scientific research, however this time was different and their were many rumours surrounding the event, making it become shrouded in mystery and appeal.

The conference hadn't even started and yet nearly 130,000 people were already watching the live broadcast.

The different scientist that arrived would receive gasps and awe as each one was smart enough and powerful enough to affect major politics in their regions! Even all the famous Professors from the different regions had came to this conference, including Professor Juniper, Birch, and even the up and coming Professor Kukui, who had made a name for himself in the last couple of years.

Everyone settled down when 5 men wearing white uniforms and the boundless research cloud logo in its front. Following them were three pokemon, where were Nidorina, Nidorino, and Jigglypuff respectively. Everyone in the audience was now more excited and a few of them started to guess that maybe Boundless had found a way to prove Nidoking wasn't just a mutation!

Steven walked up to the mircophone on the podium and said,"Thank you all for coming. I appreciate you all taking such important time out of your schedules for this, but I assure you, it will be worth it."

Even the general audience watching on grew more curious as they waited with baited breaths. The viewership was now soaring past 300,000!

Steven then asked the trainer with the Nidorina and Nidorino to have the Nidorino sit on the pedestal which sat on the center of the stage. This was a trainer who had volunteered his pokemon to aid in this conference. This was common as strong, trained pokemon were a must when conducting sensitive or dangerous research. A wild pokemon who was physically or mentally weak was not a good subject for research and thus professors and researchers would often ask trainers for assistance, for which the trainers were paid handsomely and the pokemon was taken care of afterwards.

The Nidorino sat down in front of the crowd on top of the pedestal. Many in the crowd and viewing at home started to get anxious, what was about to happen?!

Steven then started talking and explaining what he was about to do,"When I was in Mt.moon I had an epiphany, if fire stones, water stones, and leaf stones all evolve pokemon, why can't a moon stone?"

Many in the crowd had their eyes shoot open and many curses were heard as these smart people started to curse their stupidity at how they overlooked such a simple conclusion. Sometimes honing a specific craft was a detriment.

Steven continued,"So I started some research and low and behold I found information about nidorino "Mutating" into what you all call 'Nidoking'. Well, I come before you today to tell you that this is not a mutation, but an evolution! The moon stone is an evolution stone to Nidorino and Nidorina! This will now be proven in front of your very eyes!"

Evey scientist and researcher in the crowd gasped and many started discuss feverishly at what this could mean! What about other types of stones?! Dusk stone! Dawn Stone! Sun Stone! These were just a few of the possibilities being displayed here!

With that he had the trainer give the stone to Nidorino to hold in his mouth. As soon as the stone made contact with Nidorino he started to glow white, the same thing that happens when a pokemon is undergoing evolution! Everyone in the crowd quieted down and viewed this transformation for the first time! 

Roar!!!

With a furious roar Nidoking emerged from the white chrysalis that trapped Nidorino before. He had truly evolved into the legendary Nidoking!

Steven then went and casually took out another moon stone, mind you moon stones were supposed to be extremely rare stones! Yet he casually took out a second one!

Soon, in front of every spectator present, the Nidorina in front of him started to also glow white and grow as it seemed it was also evolving! Everyone in the audience and watching the broadcast was stunned. The broadcast, which was initially just in Kanto and a few research labs, quickly gained traction online and was new being viewed by millions of people all around the world! Steven had evolved 2 of the 3 pokemon, yet the numbers watching the broadcast had already exceeded 12 million people! 

Steven was unaware of this development though, still believing that he was only broadcasting to maybe 200,000 people. If he knew how many people were actually watching him at this moment, he would be much more nervous!

Steven then said,"While I was doing research, I came across this moon stone, and I even saw Clefairy doing a ritualistic dance around the stones, similar to the legends spread in the scientific circles. Of course, I won't just claim this as it is still highly debated if this a fact or simply insanity." After he said that many in the audience nodded and respected him for clarifying his stance, as this was a very hot debate issue. However what happened next surprised those who always said that the moon stone ritual was a myth, as the screen behind Steven lit up, and showed the video he had taken of the jigglypuffs doing the ritual around the pile of moon stones, and even included when his ralts teleported over, grabbed a few stones, and teleported back. He had no reason to hide how he got these stones, as others would need this information to verify his claims.

Many in the crowd yelled and cursed those naysayers who always said such a thing was just a myth! Now there's proof you old fools! Get with the times! Many in the audience felt relieved that their efforts to reveal this mystery had finally come to an end, it was extremely satsifying to them!

Then Professor Birch thought of something and raised his hand politely. Steven was surprised at this action and called out to him,"Yes sir, Professor Birch I believe, you have a question?"

Birch nodded and asked,"Is that Jigglypuff able to evolve as well?"

You could hear the "What?!" from at least half the crowd. Nidoking and Nidoqueen, although extremely rare, had been seen and at least to a certain extent documented. However, an evolution for Jigglypuff had never even been conceived before! Was boundless about to make history!?

Steven smiled and didn't respond. He simply took out his 3rd out of 4 moon stone and handed it to Jigglypuff, who bit into it immediately. She also started to glow that familiar white evolution glow as every scientist glued their eyes to the new creature that was about to be born.

Steven said excitedly,"Ladies and Gentlemen, It is with great honor that I introduce the newest pokemon to add to the Pokedex! Please welcome 'Wigglytuff!'

The Jigglypuff, now a Wigglytuff, jumped enthustiacticly up and down and then stuck a pose in front of one of the cameras!

Steven chuckled and then had the Wigglytuff reunite with the other trainer beside the Nido trainer, whos smile couldn't be taken off his face. He had gained so much and he all did was volunteer! He had heard the boundless needed a decently strong pair of pokemon and he just so happened to be a specialized breed and trainer, so he took the chance and that chance paid off.

He walked up to to his Nido partners and asked to the now huge members of his team,"Alex? Becky? Do you still remember me?"

The two of them had giant smiled on their faces and even though they couldn't respond, they simply hugged their trainer as a form of ultimate respect and love. They never thought they could evolve! Yet their trainer had gone out of his way to make it happen for them! This deepened their resolve and the connection between the 3 had deepened significantly. A similar scene was happening with Wigglytuff and its trainer.

The conference continued for about 20 more minutes as the researches hurled questions at Steven and the boundless team. Finally as he was signing off the broadcast and ending the conference he said,"Oh right! I also think the moon stone may have an effect on a species of pokemon called 'Munna', but I am not 100% so i will need someone from the region where it is located to do this for me! You can claim all the credit if you do it first!"

The scientists went mad as they rushed to see if their region was the region!
