Planting Corn/Reaching first qi realm

Chapter three

Kai sat down on the mat and looked at the beginner Qi manual and he had to say that it was very easy but considering how bad it is, it only makes since that it's easy to learn.

Kai started doing the things the manual instructed while trying to feel the Qi in the air and absorb some of it into his body.

After a minute Kai finally felt the Qi in the air moving into him and nourishing his body but what surprised him was that there was already a small buildup of Qi in his body, he realized that Rhino meat he ate earlier had small amounts of Qi in it since it was qi realm monster.

When the Qi Kai absorbed touched the small buildup of qi already stored a hot wave of energy went through Kais body before he heard a very small popping sound, and he knew he had reached first star qi realm.

He checked his status to confirm.

Kai was very happy with his new status but before he could start absorbing more qi, he heard a knock.

"Come in"

The door opened and Ryan entered looking happy.

"Master, I have finally planted the fifty ruby fire corn seeds and they have already a small sprout."

"Already! ok let's go check it out." Kai stood up and he left with Ryan down the mountain which he felt was much easier with his one-star strength. He hadn't been able to test his new strength yet, but he was sure he was a little bit stronger.

Kai and Ryan finally made it to the left of the mountain where their where many other small mountains and hills but what stood out was the huge field that looked nice and neat for farming.

In the field there was only fifty small red sprouts that could be seen at the moment since Kai hadn't planted anything else yet.

"You did really good with the field Ryan, I'm proud of you."

"Thank you master!" Ryan looked happy for his work to get praised which brought an idea to Kais's mind.

"Hey Ryan, do you have any money to spend in the nearby towns or villages?"

Ryan looked confused but still answered.

"There's not any towns very close by but there is a village, but they use spirit stones as currency, and I don't have any more since I can't go back to my family and ask."

Kai was happy to learn there weren't any big towns nearby since they could be a threat later on, but he was also happy there was a village so that he could buy things and recruit disciples.

"Ok Ryan take this and buy whatever you want for yourself when we go to the village tomorrow."

Ryan looked at what his master Kai was holding and was surprised to see one hundred low grade spirit stones.

"Master you actually have spirit stones?"

"Why of course, do you think I'm that poor." Kai looked offended but, on the inside, he was chuckling.

"No of course I don't think masters' poor, it's just spirit stones are the money used by cultivators and you only just became a cultivator, so I was surprised."

Kai looked surprised at Ryans deductions.

"Alight will hurry up and accept these spirit stones

"Are you sure you don't need this master?"

"Hmph, if you don't take these spirit stones, you'll make your master sad." Kai looked sad

Ryan saw this and finally relented.

"Ok, thank you master."

"Haha, No, Thank you!" Kai was so happy when Ryan accepted those low-grade spirit stones because of the words that popped up in his view.

Kai almost screamed out in surprised since he wasn't actually expecting it to work but when he looks in his inventory, he does indeed have one hundred high grade spirit stones making his jaw drop.

"This is so crazy but I'm so happy I got this boon; I just need to get treasures and give them to my disciples to earn big."

"But it did say requirements had to be met, I guess not everything can be used."

"Plus, these one hundred high grade stones can't be given back to my disciples for another return because the sect system won't allow it. Basically, there's no infinite loop."

All of this was because of the boon the sect system had given him.

But now that Kai had money, he planned to visit this village next but first he wanted to look at the ruby fire corn he was growing.

He and ryan got close up and finally saw the sprouts of the ruby fire corn and he was quite surprised because he could already feel the Qi coming off and he couldn't wait to try it out later.

"Hmm, master these are growing too fast for a level one spirit food, usually these would take a week to start growing this big."

Now that Ryan said it Kai did realize the fast growth, the corn had only been planted for an hour max, yet they already had a nice ruby stem sticking up from the ground.

But then a few words popped up in his vision.

Kai was surprised and realized he didn't even know everything his level two territory has to offer.

He guessed this probably had to do with the gems he used in the building process.

"Alright Ryan get ready to leave for the village with me tomorrow"
