Bright Academy

School for gifted students is an understatement. Bright Academy was a school on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Felix Oppong was one of the over thirty students in the forty square kilometer sized college, for good reason...

DISAPPEARING ACT I

I looked at Alexa and her family as Curtis led them to the portal.

Catherine's forehead was still on Titus' as she began to walk away and he stretched his arm, still holding her small one.

My mom ran in for one more hug, then they walked through and the circular inter dimensional window closed shut, severing the connection that existed between the two different places.

Curtis placed the box he was holding down then looked at the place, it looked clean, but the air was filled with dust so as the floors to the extent one couldn't take a step without slipping.

Curtis took in a deep breath then said,"So let's get started."

Alexa smiled then took a feather duster from the box labeled, ' maintenance tools ' then got dusting.

Curtis blew a mild wind on the floor which carried the dust into the portal leading to the Sahara desert then closed it and turned then bumped into Alexa then she giggled as he chuckled.

They tried to separate themselves but Micky kicked Alexa in the back and she fell into Curtis's grip.

Their son then said,"Why don't you two love birds go clean up the bedrooms? We got here covered."

Curtis looked at the bottom floor, then at his enchanting wife who shrugged as she said,"Why not?"

He then swiped her off her feet and said,"Because you'll be alone with me."

She caressed his cheek while saying,"I think I can handle it."

He smirked as he took her up the stairs.

Micky skated on the floors with water below his feet reducing friction and from his fists providing thrust, while a wave of water washed off all the dust.

Nicky reversed time on the dust, making them float back into the air and go out the windows from the exact same wind that brought them in.

Ricky increased the normal force of the floor and reduced the pseudo force of gravity, making the dust particles be launched in the air.

Then he made a light breeze catch them in the air and spin them in a centrifuge like whirlwind which then shot the dust out in a straight wind.

Catherine on the other hand had still not stopped talking to Titus.

Catherine was a Tomboy.

She had the quirks of dressing and acting like a boy, keeping her hair short, wearing clothes meant for boys and playing like a boy, a rough one at that.

Her parents tried never to bother her as they were certain this was just a phase, as seen in the Space between spaces, all the more assurance cam from the fact that she was attracted to boys.

Despite all these characteristics, she still looked like a girl and a gorgeous one at that, which made all the boys she met like her secretly even when they went home with two black eyes, a torn liver and a few broken ribs.

Micky started teasing her but she ignored him as Titus laughed, she actually wanted Titus to laugh more.

My mom was being massaged by a dark and hunky masseur who seemed half her age, but Indigo didn't like, in the slightest bit, how he was looking at and touching her.

He had it when the masseur almost touched her chest, lustfully licking his lips and... destroyed the entire spa.

My mom pulled his ear the entire way back to the hotel and literally grounded him for the rest of the next day and he had to oblige, he loved and feared her.

Indigo wasn't going to give up though, he concentrated on his water vision, binge watching YouTube videos the entire night and controlled the minds of birds to be his eyes and ears from above.

But she just woke up the next morning, went to the kitchen and brought him his favorite dish as breakfast.

He was confused as he asked,"Aren't I still grounded?"

"Yeah, but I couldn't leave you alone to destroy the hotel too, besides, I'll be bored without you, so why don't you tell me what's wrong?"She asked.

He chuckled and said in one breath,"Nothing's wrong, why would you think anything's wrong when everything is absolutely fine?"

She smiled then sat by him and said,"I know you Indigo, more than you know yourself, please, talk to me, I care about you."

He was silent, she had not said something that nice to him ever since he left, maybe he had to tell her he lied that he couldn't have children to see if she'd love him for himself, not for the beauty of the children they might get.

The reason he left was actually of fear, a past experience placed that in him, one he never wanted to repeat.

So he left, to protect my mother, and all of us.

He smiled nervously then said,"Nothing's wrong honey."

"Are you sure?"She asked.

He nodded then she smiled and kissed him on the lips then lay on his lap.

He looked at her unique hair and held it in his hands, it was smooth...smoother than normal hair, like the finest silk, he had never felt hair like that before and he had felt a lot of hair formerly being a hair designer.

After a few minutes, he stood up to go to the bathroom then fell on one knee.

My mom asked if everything was alright then he said,"...no."

He showed her his hand, or where it used to be, it was gone and his arms were fading away with his legs.

My mom screamed for help as his body became paler by the minute.

Room service were able to run in and they carried him to take him to the hospital, but he never made it.

My mother was a mess after that and she screamed and cried for hours non-stop.

Then she saw something frightening on her phone...

Alexa was looking at Curtis, who had been sitting on the windowsill for hours and was about to go and speak to him when he collapsed.

She screamed and ran to him and met his eyes fluttering abnormally.

She begged him to wake up as he tried to speak.

She held his hand to her heart then begged him to say something, then he whispered,"Never forget me..."

Then his hand fell out of her grip as it was gone and soon, his whole body followed.

She ran to get the children then burst into tears when she realized they were also gone, without a trace...
