The newborns

Two days later, Harris stood on one of the balconies, staring down at the ministers who stepped inside the castle. King Earl of Vrussia was among them. The former king, Krantz, had passed away due to old age. Matthias was speaking to the human as they walked into the courtroom.

"Do you think it will work out?" Harris heard his sister's voice behind him and turned to look at her.

"I have my doubts," he replied, resting his elbows on the railings and leaning forward to observe the queen who had just descended the stairs. Evelyn was dressed in a royal blue gown, her hair parted in the middle and smoothly falling on either side of her face.

She is pretty, Harris thought, watching her disappear behind the courtroom doors.

"You won't be attending the meeting?" He asked Esmeralda.

"No," she replied.
