Love every side of him

Later in the night, Eve strolled towards Leif's chamber, the guards in the corridors and on the stairway bowing their heads in greeting. When the guards in front of his chambers informed her that the Lord wasn't around, she started to retreat. However, the sound of carriages pulling up to the castle stopped her.

From her vantage point, she watched as Leif disembarked from a carriage, handed his coat to a maid at the door, and walked inside. As he began to roll up his sleeves, he looked up and saw Eve. Immediately, he darted up the stairs and stopped a few feet from her.

"I was just coming from your room," Eve told him, causing him to raise his eyebrows.

"This is a response to the letter from the King of Vrussia," she said, handing him a letter she had written earlier that evening.

"Do you think the Ministers are responsible for the humans learning that Sebastian is away?" She asked, to which he nodded in agreement.
