74 Devastated

Once it was morning already. Hermione stirred in her sleep.

She was alerted by the sound of clanging metal. Her eyelashes fluttered open divulging a pair of gray-green eyes.

Not quite far away, she could see the guard struggling against the lock securing the cell. He ran over many keys into the lock as if not certain the key that would work for it.

But that wasn't what bothered her. When Hermione placed her hand to the side to sit up. Her hands landed on Lloyd's thigh. It was only when she sat did she realized what had been happening.

She had been resting her head on his thigh ever since she was asleep. She retracted her hand to her side hurriedly as if she had just touched a burning coal.

Lloyd gazed at her with an amused expression. The corner of his lips pulled up at her as he watched the confused yet embarrassed look on her face.

She certainly was questioning herself when she did that. The audacity that she had.
