An Yichen pinched her nose, a doting smile on his face, "I'm just joking with you. Even if you invited me upstairs, I would have to think about it; I'm not prepared to meet your mother yet."

Chen Zhi let out a relieved smile, "Then you should get going, it's so late. We'll... see each other tomorrow."

An Yichen gazed at her attentively, held her hands, and leaned in to kiss her lips softly.

"Alright, see you tomorrow."

He was about to turn away when Chen Zhi suddenly grabbed his hand, "By the way, Yichen, if you give the project to Si Ye, will your family... blame you?"

An Yichen laughed as if it was not a big deal, "Why worry so much about it? Rest assured, I won't have any problems, I have my own ways to deal with it."

Chen Zhi couldn't say much more, knowing it wouldn't make much difference.
