1 WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK?

This world is full of strange things. It's just that normal people can't see it. Do you know? If between the mortal realm and the spirit world, is there some kind of border?

The two realms intersect and only a handful of people can see it. The ability to see both worlds clearly at the same time is often called the Sixth Sense, which some consider a gift, but not Karen Cenora.

What is it like? Maybe like what happened to Cenora.

When Cenora was young, people hated her for her special vision. Other people called Cenora a strange child because she often talked to herself or often pointed in a direction that no one was around at all.

'What is it, Cenora? Isn't there someone out here?'

'Who are you talking to?'

'Why are you alone?'

Such a question has often been heard in her ears since childhood. And it happened because what Cenora saw was not seen by others.

Creatures with the same appearance as humans but actually 'they' were 'different' from humans like Cenora or other people living around Cenora.

'They' are ghosts. Invisible creatures can only be seen by people who have advantages like Cenora for example.

A pretty girl with a pale face with long hair hanging down?

Or a human figure wearing a white cloth that wraps his whole body, with a ponytail above his head, and moves by jumping or flying?

Or a man with dreadlocks that is no less dangling with a black body with bright red eyes?

Or this, the figure of a small child with an old face, a bald head but slimy? Those who often wander around the area of their home environment, and when they wake up, the money in their house has decreased.

Such figures seemed to have become a mandatory sight that Cenora had to see.

Not to mention the figures of various shapes that resembled animals that could often deceive Cenora's gaze, and thought that the figure was a human. They are Demons, who often invite Cenora to just communicate.

Cenora lived such a day tired and alone. Until years passed and Cenora had grown up. Finally, Cenora was able to get used to it, though she would never really get used to it.

Karen Cinora, a cheerful teenage girl, can already hide something special inside of her. And hope to live a normal happy high school life.

But it wasn't as easy as Cenora wanted it to be.

'Hihihi… Hihihi…'

The giggling voice of the woman behind Cenora was very clear and overpowered the laughter of her classmates.

'Hihihi… Hihihi…'

The voice continued to annoy Cenora who was joking with her classmates.

"Could you shut up? You sound so bad, you know?" Cenora said in a whisper as her laughter stopped and turned to anger when Cenora fell silent.

But what? The woman's voice continued to sound and seemed to be deliberately laughing at Cenora.

"Hey, Cenora! Why are you so quiet? Are you listening to me?" asked a friend and managed to dispel Cenora's fury at the pale-faced woman with blood gushing out of her eyes behind her.

You could say it was like crying blood. Hiiihh… that's terrible.

"Ah, sorry. What's wrong?" answered Cenora stuttering.

"Soon it's Christmas and it's your birthday. So what do you want to be when you get older on that fun day?" another friend explained the previous question.

"Hmm, I guess I need a lover… I envy you guys who have people close to you to share things with," answered Cenora half doubtfully. Because Cenora herself wasn't sure about it.

"A lover?" asked Cenora's friend, "Ah, I think I remember, someone asked for your cell phone number a few days ago, right?"

"Ah, that person… I've met him, but not a man like him that I want to be my lover," answered Cenora.

"We're confused about the taste of your chosen boy. But never mind, let's ignore your taste and we have to hurry to the canteen because we can't ignore my stomach's appetite! I'm already very hungry. Let's go to the cafeteria now!"

As usual, what Cenora said or wanted was completely incomprehensible to her companions. Even though Cenora knew why her friend's attitude was like that because it felt strange to her. But Cenora ignored it and kept trying to be comfortable.

In Cenora's heart, she wanted to have a friend who could share stories about this strange or 'special' thing. Maybe, if she had friends who had the same privileges as her, her life wouldn't be this lonely.

When Cenora was a child to be precise when Cenora was ten years old, she had the same friends that Cenora saw. There was a boy who was slightly older than Cenora.

Cenora's dark days as a child seemed to be colorful when she played with the boy. They always play happily. Cenora also always followed the boy because only with the boy, Cenora feels safe and at ease.

But, just as Cenora felt the good after the bad things in her life, Cenora had to be sad again when Cenora found out that the boy was going to a faraway place. Cenora was crying.

'Right on your eighteenth Christmas. That day I will return to you. Because you are…' the boy's words stopped.

'Is what? I'll never get used to these creatures, you know?'

'I'm still waiting for you to extend your hand again for me. But I don't even know what your name is and I've also forgotten what you look like…'

'Or even who you are can see what I see. Especially when you just left me for a second I closed my eyes because of my tears,'

'What are you? You disappeared before my eyes fell on the fluffy feathers flying just as you disappeared from before me!'

'Suddenly I want to go disappear like you. I feel so stupid until now because I kept waiting for you to come and come back to see me...'

Cenora cried silently. By now her classmates had left Cenora alone and headed for the school canteen. It was just that the voices around Cenora were getting louder and louder. It wasn't only the female voice that had been laughing at her, but many other voices were also laughing at Cenora.

'Cenora, are you all right? Don't cry like that because they enjoy your crying! They like it when you're sad,'

'Calm down and keep smiling. I will always be with you. If they do something stupid and laugh at you again, I'll tie them up and form them into a ball, so you can kick them as far as possible!'

Remembering what her childhood friend had said, Cenora's smile returned and Cenora wiped her tears.

'Do you know? You are my first love. And what you promised me then, you said you'd come back one day, but when?'

'I've grown up. And so far you haven't come back. How long will I stop waiting for you like this? How much longer should I wait for you?'

***

"Oh, dammit! I don't know when I will get used to this situation. I'm almost eighteen years old, hmm!" Cenora exhaled heavily in her mutter.

Currently, Cenora is standing in front of her school with a standing ovation from creatures of various forms. It was as if Cenora was a good and pleasant thing to them.

Not only the ghosts at school that made her tired but even the ghosts along the road she passed also continued to enliven the atmosphere.

Like a magnet, Cenora's body seemed to invite and gather many ghosts around her.

'Hi, Cenora!'

'Today you smell so good!'

'Why do you look gloomy?'

'Let's play! We're bored!'

Along the school hallway that she passed, the crowds of greetings from the creatures around her were like flies flying around her. How sickening!

"Cenora?!" called two of her school friends from behind.

Immediately Cenora turned around and wanted to catch up with her classmates but what happened? Cenora's body instead fell forward due to the thrust of the creatures behind her.

"Oh my, how could you fall at a time like this?"

"You fell again? Look at the way you walk, Nora! You're like a child you know?!"

The two classmates grumbled at Cenora who was often negligent.

'You bastards!' Cenora cursed in her heart when she saw the ghosts around her laughing at her.

'Who told you to ignore us, huh?'

'Feel it!'

'Feel it!'

'Who do you think you are to dare to ignore us?'

Cenora heard various curses angrily. The insults, the laughs, even the nosy actions of the ghosts were too boring for Cenora to experience. But what can she do? Cenora couldn't do anything.

"I just feel weak. So I can't balance my body movements. Come on… don't nag me this early!" Cenora ignored the ghosts and spoke to the two friends who helped her up.

'I don't want to be like this either. Keep on showing you guys that I was careless and fell. But actually, I was pushed and became the laughing stock of them all,' Cenora thought in tears.
