Levina folded her arms around her chest. "We will be moving later tonight. The war is coming to us," she announced.

Marie gasped. "That is terrible. What do we do?" she shrieked.

Levina shrugged nonchalantly. "Pack our things and wait to be moved to safety."

"Why do I feel that you don't want to be moved to safety?" Aerilyn raised her eyebrows questioningly.

"Because I don't. But apparently, it doesn't matter what I want. We all leave tonight," Levina said as she brushed past Marie and headed to the Marquee. If Lucien thinks he doesn't need her, then that is his problem. She will go to a safe place without him.

For Levina, nightfall took a lifetime to descend. She had paced about the room, taken a walk around the camp, and even helped get the badly injured soldiers ready for transport. In the end, the sun was still comfortably seated in the sky.
