Chapter 2

Brenner Souza had a small farm in the outskirts of his kingdom. It wasn't much, and it wasn't very big, but it was enough to sustain himself.

But the problem with farming is that you always have some type of harvest. Brenner Souza had barley, oats, wheat and soybeans. There were also chickens and goats. Brenner Souza lived a peaceful life. Not too many people dared to challenge him and not too many people wanted him dead either.

And Brenner Souza was happy with the life he has. But every once in a while he had to go out and help other kingdoms rebuild because they had lost their crops during the recent food shortage. This time Brenner Souza took on the task alone. No one dared to say anything when he came back with his arms piled high with supplies. They all knew that he could take care of any enemy he might run across. Even if he was outnumbered ten to one.

One day, Brenner Souza went outside and saw that all of the villagers of his territory were gathered together with panicked looks in their eyes, looking worried and scared.

He approached them and asked what happened, "What happen? What is wrong?"

A woman spoke first, "There's a new lord. Someone from another kingdom we haven't talked to before."

That was interesting. "Who is this new lord? Is he powerful?"

She nodded. "He seems to be. He is a big guy. Strong and tall. We're all scared of him.""Is he a wizard?", asked Brenner Souza. "If yes, then we're in trouble.""No!", replied the woman. "He's not a wizard. He doesn't use magic or any sort of technology. He walks around like he owns the whole country."

"So he is human," commented Brenner Souza and frowned. "And why did he come here?"

Suddenly he heard footsteps approaching him from behind. He looked at the entrance and saw a huge man. The biggest person Brenner Souza had ever seen, maybe.

This guy was even taller than Brenner Souza and stronger than a bear. He had white hair on his head, and was wearing a dark armor with red accents. There was also black armor around his waist and chest.

His name was Brenner Souza's new lord. Brenner Souza had never seen him before. He was pretty sure he hasn't been hired before.

The big guy stood next to Brenner Souza, "What do you want? Who are you?!" He yelled at Brenner Souza angrily.

"Oh, I'M Brenner Souza. The mayor of my village.", answered Brenner Souza calmly.

"Mayor? Mayor of what?", the king growled. "I am king here, so you should be calling me sir, not mayor!" He said angrily.

Brenner Souza raised an eyebrow. "You don't have a title here, nor any right of title. You're a commoner.", he stated.

The king glared at him and opened his mouth to say something but stopped when someone coughed loudly, which was probably Brenner Souza's friend.

"Hey guys! How are you doing? Did you miss me?!?" Asked Brenner Souza cheerfully. "Oh yeah! I didn't even tell you guys how I met the mayor! My little brother got kidnapped by the bandits! But luckily I managed to find the townspeople of my territory and save him! So, thanks guys!! I owe you guys a lot! And also, we found my brother, safe and sound!!!" He finished cheerfully.

Brenner Souza's friend snorted in laughter. "Yeah right!!"

"Well, I'm gonna be honest and tell you that we didn't believe you at all when you told us that you saved your brother. Your story didn't seem believable at all
