Blind Worship.

Kyiv, Ukraine.

Alex had already reached Ukraine. They had the information, so it was easier to start right away. They had used the more secretive route to enter the country along with all the family members, by coming to the country in groups and avoiding contact with each other until it was proven to be safe.

There was government support, but they couldn't properly exercise it before entering the country. Fedir had a lot of his information network based on his men working at the airports, so he had to make sure that none of the people from his family was apprehended due to his negligence.

After reaching the capital, his first destination was supposed to be his employer's residence,

a woman who went by the name of Vira Melnik. She was a high ranking official working in the government, who answered directly to the president. She was a middle-aged woman who was a very important figure in the political side of the country.

"Welcome to Ukraine, master Alex. I hope that

your journey hasn't been too bad."

Vira said to Alex, with a slight accent.

"It was fine. Thank you for asking."

Alex replied in an indifferent tone, rejecting to

answer her with friendliness.

"Let's go over the mission details then. I have to take care of 500 trained military personnel that are protecting the target and kill the target along with them inside of the military base in Uzyn, make it look like the rebels fought each other for power, and vanish any trace of evidence that connects them to you and the president, right?"

Alex was still trying to figure out what could be done to complete the mission with zero casualties. He had already proven himself to the family about his fighting skills, but all of them had yet to see what he could do as a leader. This mission was going to be a big stepping stone to make them subservient to him.

"There is also one more thing of note. You have to make sure that no harm is done to the military base and the equipment that is stored inside of it. Those are important to our national security, and destruction of an airbase isn't in anyone's good interest other than the enemy."

Alex sighed. This mission just keeps on getting more complicated. Is it really that important to make it more difficult than it already is?

"Can we take out the equipment first and then see to the mission being implemented?"

He asked with conviction.

"Sure, if you can transport an Antonov 178 without anyone noticing."

He once again sighed.

'I should stop asking questions. If I continue to do so, she will just add more things to look out for.'

He became silent and started weighing his options. The Information about the cargo plane Antonov 178 hadn't been giving to him before, so he had to make some more improvements to the mission. He had 3 options in terms of execution, but due to the new developments in the mission, he had to get rid of 2 of them. He had only one way to do this now, and that was stealth.

----------------------------------------------------

Uzyn Air Base, Ukraine.

Zira and Alice had transferred themselves as cleaners that were supplied to the base by the government. At first, there was a really big commotion around their arrival, because they simply did not trust the government with anything. But slowly, as time passed, they gradually accepted them as their own, because they pretended to be neither pro-government nor pro Rebel. They just wanted to do their job, which was an admirable quality.

Many men had already been won over by their cooking skills. They got to eat military rationed food every day, but there was no good cook that had ever been provided by the government. The sisters took care of that problem, and they finally got to eat food that was not bland anymore.

Alex was not inside the base at the moment. He was planning the next step of this mission, which was to infiltrate the base with more boldness, without giving out any hints about their mission.

He had been the most surprised about how Zira had been able to suppress her original personality completely and play the role of the damsel who was quiet and hard working. But leaving all that aside, the hard part was up next. He had to make sure that they can do this completely, within the given time, which had now been reduced to 10 days.

The recruiting season was on, so they had asked for more manpower from the government. At first, they expected to be rejected, but the government approved of their request by stating that the current state of the hangar was not identical for the Cargo planes stored there, which were essential for the security of the country.

First, it was an assassin from the family named Mark. He had chosen the name Ivan and was assigned to the Airbase as a recruit. His back story was based on the fact that he was the younger brother of Alice and Zira who was adamant about protecting his sisters, hence he worked hard to join the military. He had brought his younger adopted brother, which was Alex, to see their sisters when he had finally been selected to work at the base that they had been working on. He was a great actor, and the identity that was created by the Government was strong enough to suppress any sort of doubt that the people inside of the base had. Also, they pretended to be the children of one of the soldiers that had their platoons wiped out during the war with the Soviets, so the whole vibe that Mark gave them was that he was a hot-blooded kid who was pro Rebel with sisters that were smart enough to not pick any sides because they knew that they had to protect the blockhead as well as the youngest son of them all, Alex.

The back story was good, and the people became more accepting of the family of 4.

The coincidence was a bit disturbing, but they told that they wanted to work here specifically because this was the place that they met their father for the last time, who had raised them alone because their mother had died during the birth of Ivan.

The story was good enough to let them have their guard down. Plus, because they hadn't been acting suspicious and never tried to search for Fedir's whereabouts, they had been written off as innocent. At the same time, Alex was being doted on by all muscly Ukrainian Soldiers, who treated him as one of their own. What made this mission difficult was not the fact that they had to kill so many soldiers, or that they had less time to do so, but the fact that they had to kill people who didn't know about the difference between right and wrong, and followed the one they trusted with utmost confidence. Mark had pleaded several times to Alex about abandoning this mission, but he had to do it, mainly because he had gotten a message along with the File that was sent to him by his mother. It was an eye-opener for him because he had chosen to trust someone blindly in his previous life.

Remember this, blind faith and worship will always lead to self-destruction. Fedir wants power, and they want freedom. If you don't understand, refer to what Hitler did when he had to choose between his guards and his military. Kill them, and show everyone that this world isn't one where trust triumphs all. It's all about the survival of the fittest, and the ones that can betray the best.

One more chapter, Then Pov for Sylvia. Let's do this.
