7 Orientation Night 2

Haneul looks around the alpha/beta dormitory where they are having a party. The hall is big enough to fit a few hundred people, something they don't have at the omega dorms, but the alpha/betas don't have a garden like the omegas. Also, the only thing separating the vicinity from the outside is the bushes. First impression, he prefers his own dormitory where it is more secured. Not to mention, judging from the brief peek he took of the interior of one of the rooms, it is clear that the omegas have bigger rooms.

The party? He prefers a real club but at least there are food on the table and free drinks. Not to mention, games which look really interesting. The people look fun too, some actually trying to converse with each other in this loud music instead of grinding like animals, though, he knows their ultimate reason is to bang each other anyways. The night is still young, there is still a few hours before these people lose control and go wild. Haneul is looking forward to that.

Setting himself near a table furthest away from the speakers as not to hurt his eardrums with the loud music, the omega starts to munch on a few chips not knowing what to do. He came here hoping to find the cute alpha he met during the race two days ago but he forgot to consider the fact that a lot of people will be here including the seniors and other visitors. He will be really lucky if he manages to stumble upon the man tonight.

With that, Haneul decides to forget his initial intention and just find a new target. Or maybe make some new friends. He already made up his mind not to sleep with anyone on campus as it will complicate things but if it happens tonight, he won't actually mind. Because they will all probably be too intoxicated to remember it anyway.

"Hey," Haneul turns around to a tall, handsome alpha dressed equally as charming. If he is to exaggerate this situation, the man looks like a prince, or a young master from a prestigious family. Which is an exaggeration because those people won't even attend their university in the first place.

Smiling back as he is in the mood to socialize tonight, he studies the man's face. The alpha looks a bit familiar. "Yoo Haneul right? Hwang Taeyong. Engineering major."

Owh, that's it. This Taeyong guy was the one with that dimple alpha that day. Turns out, he is lucky after all. On the other hand, Haneul feels like talking with this guy more since he seems nice, somehow giving off the 'Joseph' vibe. Maybe he will ask about the other guy later, or he might just spend the rest of the night with this Taeyong guy, talking or playing games. He is no longer feeling the butterflies for that other alpha anyway, he just came here for the sake of it.

#####

Turns out Taeyong is really an interesting guy. Contrary to his playboy appearance, the alpha is really a hopeless romantic, dreaming of finding his fated omega and having a family. A typical soft alpha wanting to protect his omega, Haneul imagines how lucky that omega will be. Not that he wants to be the one, he won't be able to survive being pampered and treated like what Taeyong described…

"Hey babe, you actually came." Haneul feels his hand being pulled from behind, with a force enough to turn his body towards another alpha. Feeling a bit pissed by the action and the sudden interruption, he pulls his hand back and returns his attention to Taeyong, completely ignoring the bastard.

A hand sneaks around his waist, catching the omega off guard. Before he can react, "Hey, what're you doing?" Taeyong calls the man out. The action though, only causes the other to tighten his hold as he pulls Haneul closer to him. "What the fuck?"

"He's mine." The guy answers to Taeyong, completely disregarding his protest and struggle, as if he isn't there. Clicking his tongue in annoyance, Haneul turns to look at the rude bastard. It's him, the shameless alpha who solved their puzzle that day. Does he fucking think solving a fucking puzzle gives him the right to claim him? Who the hell does he think he is?

"Let him go Jiwon. He's not into you." Taeyong warns, causing the Jiwon guy to scoff like it is the most absurd thing he ever heard. The former now looks really angry, his complexion differed so much from the gentle alpha Haneul was talking to a few minutes ago. Getting tired of being here, the omega pushes his attacker away, and as he does, he is pulled towards Taeyong instead.

"Fuck this shit." Haneul curses as he feels the two intense pheromones starting to form. Both the alphas are still holding on to him, but they aren't looking at him. They are no longer interested in him. They are challenging each other, and Haneul just became their reward.

This is exactly why he has his no-student rule. Young alphas are too proud, too hormonal, too naive. Just look at these two little shits, fighting over him as if he will be with whoever wins the damned fight. As if.

Without warning, Haneul feels his whole body pulled back again as Jiwon makes his move to push his rival down. The latter didn't budge, but the fight is already getting physical they will start punching each other in a few moments. Crowds are starting to gather and Haneul would really love to just leave the two alone, if not for the fucking grip the bastard still have on his right wrist.

There is no fucking way he will stick around here any longer. He doesn't need this shit. He needs to find a way to escape.

Looking around, Haneul spots the punch bowl. It is obviously still filled with the beverage, but that can easily be solved. He doesn't care if he has to spill the content, the bowl is made from glass, and the weight is perfect enough to be used as a weapon. Haneul takes a few moments to rethink about his plan. He really doesn't want to make a scene at the beginning of his new college life but, this fucker is out of control and there are now a lot of witness who will back him up so…

…this Jiwon bastard is dead.

#####

Sangcheol inhales deeply as he makes his way down towards the hall. Not that he is expecting anything less but being in the room filled with strangers who don't even care about anyone but themselves really depresses him. Even more than he already is. It makes him feel like nobody even care about what is happening to him albeit being fully aware that they won't know it in the first place, because they don't know him.

It is just, he feels alone.

In a room filled with people, he feels forgotten.

He feels invisible.

Biting the inner wall of his lower lip, Sangcheol wastes no time in making his way towards the corner of the hall, where he is certain they placed the alcohols. Unfortunately for him, everything is already opened and there is no sign of new cans to be supplied any time soon. Clenching his jaws in disappointment, he looks around for another table, this time surveying it from afar so that he won't waste his energy walking among these intoxicated people having to push them around. Again disappointed, he finally decides to go towards the very back of the hall, where he is confident there will still be some cans left because, there aren't that many people from the look of it.

Wait, there are more people than he thought. They are just not hanging around the table, which explained his prior impression.

Not minding the situation, the desperate alpha makes his way between the audiences before noticing the strong scents dueling in the air. Some guys are already getting into fights it seems. He is about to ignore the whole thing for his beer before realizing that he recognized the scent. Actually, both the scents are familiar to him. Now a bit curious, Sangcheol takes a peek towards the two figures.

Taeyong and Jiwon. Why the hell are they fighting?

"He-" Sangcheol is about to interrupt the fight before Jiwon forcefully pulls another male behind him, so hard the man actually hit the table. And merely based on the difference in strength, he knows right away the third man is an omega.

"What the fuck?" he thinks out loud, finding the whole thing absurd. The omega is struggling to break free, obviously hurt by the tight grip and yet, his captor doesn't even care. In fact, Jiwon's squeeze becomes tighter as he is starting to be aggravated by his rival; the omega actually whimpers in pain.

Though Sangcheol initially planned on minding his own business and get what he came here for, he really cannot stand this sight. Just imagining his own omega brother being treated like that pisses him off. How the hell can someone treat an omega like that, knowing fully well their strengths? Alphas are supposed to protect omegas, not hurt them!

Suddenly finding himself between the two, Sangcheol grabs Jiwon's hand, loudly announcing his presence by a warning.

"Let him go."
