Chapter 25 – A Challenge from the dark
June 24th, Japan, Takayama
The roads are lit and moon lights up the evening sky. On a general establishment the unknown man and his subordinate indulge in gohei mochi as they were basking in the mercy of evening moon. After their meal just as they stood up to leave they were confronted by a man dressed in suit and cartonería mask.
"You, I am detaining you… come quietly." Abruptly said the agent.
His subordinate looked at him hinting to slash the newly appeared character. He signed her to brush off the thought.
"May I known under what reason?" Asked the unknown man.
"Allow me to speak, Chisaka- Sama." Said the subordinate.
"Huh? I thought I said you to be silent."
"We are sorry for that. Me and my subordinate. But you have yet to answer my question."
"I do not have to answer to every criminal I detain."
"Hmm…"
"Then tell me this…. Isn't it a policy or a rule for 'fear me' squad to work as a team of two? Then why are you alone?" asked Chisaka Katsuro with a calm tone.
"Shut up."
"Wait, when I think about it why am I the only one alone?? Wait didn't I have a partner…. I remember having a partner. Maybe my imagination?"
"So 'the tree standing on its own', why are you here and how do you know me?"
"Huh? I thought I said no questions."
"Well whatever, it's not like anything will change of me answering couple of damned question… besides he is at my mercy."
"I am detaining you on the account of the proxy's case."
"So why are you here?" Asked Chisaka with a bold voice.
"I am investigating the man behind…."
"So why are you here?"
"I am here for some sort of case."
"So why are you here?"
"Hmm… haha I guess you can call it a vacation. Sir, you look like native could you recommend any dining place or stay in hotels?"
"Oh for sure."
All three walked in the same direction as Chisaka showed him to a dinning place and left him there.
"Thank you and sorry for all the troubles I have caused, sir." Said the man in cartoneria mask now without the mask. (His mask mysteriously disappeared midway through the pervious conversation).
"Mattaku mondainashi."
Chisaka and his subordinate left the place.
"Hmm… he looked like a good guy hope he have a nicee day." Thought to himself the man who was in cartonería mask.
"Chisaka- Sama, why would you go out of your way to—, I would have done him in seconds."
"Haven't you heard? Not all fights are won by duking it out."
"Besides you have to respect and value the one standing in front of you even if they were weak. Don't just slash them out of the blue."
"Why is that Chisaka- sama?"
"Because anyone fighting, put not only their life but their resolve, ideology and moral in line… that is something admirable, worthy of respect."
"Always remember Min Jung, Honor and respect are virtue."
"Understood, Chisaka- sama."

"Chisaka-sama?"
"Yes?"
"Ego? You killed her. Why di—"
"She is a foolish one, unwise as you can get. She is the type that don't deserve a hint of respect, a worm of a human being….."
"…..As every being have the role to play, that pawn had to play its role as a pawn. But moving on its own made the pawn to lose the creditability it has as a pawn, hence losing her privilege of life."
"What do you mean Chisaka-sama?"
"That woman…. She made a move on Meliora out of her own will…. Knocking a door at a hornets nest. But matter not."
"In my stand I'm not the one to judge whether one has worth to live….. I cleansed her for she forced others into her little schemes. It goes against my principles and when she is working for me and goes against my principle I have every right to take her life."
"By the way Chisaka- sama, Draven looked at your face, wont that be a problem for our ritual?"
"It's alright I have made arrangements regarding that 'monkey from void'."
They conversed as they headed into a traditional looking building (no human presence). Inside the building as he entered he sat on the floor right at the center. Dona, both mutated and normal emerged into the room and outside. There were approximately around 30,000 of them.
