Chapter 17 – A little party never hurt anybody

They arrived at the club at 8.15am. The club was nothing special it looked like any other club. Except it was open 24 hour 7 days.

"Professor, we really had to walk here…. W-a-l-k …" Said tired Kai.

"Don't call me professor here, and yes, I don't own a car."

"Grown ass man with no car… pff."

"Hey! ~. I don't need a car, I'm more cost efficient."

They all walked into the club. The house was full with people even though it was a Thursday, a working day. There were no bouncers or any employees present except the bartender. The first sight they laid eyes as soon as they entered was a dance floor.

"Listen here, it's illegal for underage people to be here, so try to act like an adult here… except Kai, Aiden and Lunar, you all look like a kid pretending to be an adult."

"Yeah, yeah, Draven, we hear you well and clear." Said Aiden in a disrespectful tone.

"No, call me 'Dark Monkey', here…" Insisted Draven in an adamant tone.

"…And also, give me your coat Aiden, it will go well with my dress."

"You! No good monkey…" Said Aiden while handing over his coat.

"Hm…It's dark monkey for you… and I will do as I please, cause… I'm the l-e-a-d-e-r here~"

"Kai, you are unusually silent and deep in thought… what's the matter?" Asked Nagisa looking at the silent Kai.

"If he is 'Dark monkey', then I am 'time's gatekeeper'."

"Cold nickname, but don't go announcing your power."

They all went inside and spread out to collect Intel on Proxy's whereabouts. Everyone blended well with people, except Kai. He just stood near the dance floor looking at people dancing like animals and letting loose.

"Hmm… they don't know I can manipulate time."

After an hour in the club, they met near the bathroom to piece all the Intel they gathered together.

"Proxy is on the top cabin."

"Yeah, and she don't come out much. Except at evening 6.00pm to go behind the club to do something." Said Aiden in a quiet tone.

"Drugs?" Asked Nagisa with a blunt look.

"No bartender sounded like she was going to meet someone." Said Aiden correcting Nagisa.

"WAIT! WHAT?!, you asked the BARTENDER?" Raised his voice, shocked Dark monkey.

"You, really did went and asked her employee? about her?"

"OH, Shit." Realized his mistake, Aiden.

"Yeah, and she has a power, she can mind control people with lust, money or any other world desire." Added Erina.

"Ahhh, you should have said that before we entered…" Cried Depressed Dark monkey.

"I really should have brought my colleagues today…ahh… Look, half of you are just enjoying and not doing the mission… while look at Kai, he is not even here…where did that guy go to?"

At the moment the meeting was being commenced, Kai was at the dance floor throwing some killer moves. With meeting over, Aiden went to Kai and informed they move at 6.00pm.

Half day into the club and it looked like none of the members were taking their jobs seriously. Even the disciplined dark monkey got himself drunk and slept on the floor besides cabin as he was staking it out a minute ago. Aiden spent half of his day by resolving himself to not look at any woman as he has got Clara. Erina was purely enjoying herself and she made moves on Kai once a while which made Lunar spend her entire day looking out for her rather than the mission.

Kai sat on the bar tired at today's mission around 4.45pm. Lunar saw that and joined him.

"KAI! You're drinking?"

"…You are underage…"

"Um… I drink and reverse my body minutes early, so technically I'm not breaking any laws…"

"Then I will too…. "

"That wench….. Can't be safe around that woman…." Thought Lunar with a slightly irritated look and tiredness and drank strong alcohol on the go and got herself drunk.

"Idiot…Ah…~ you're drunk." Said Kai annoyed at the clinging Lunar.

"Hmm… I'm NoT DRunK Kai~"

"Hmmm… with her like this we can't go on with the mission, should bring her somewhere to cool her down."

Around 5.00pm Kai brought Lunar to an exit (NOT the one they planned the ambush). And sat her down and gave her some water.

"Kai, Kai, KAI" She repeated herself over and over again as she clung tightly to Kai.

"Hehe… this is also good in its own manner…hehe." Thought Kai, with a smirk on his face.

While Kai and Lunar were resting, Proxy made her routine move early at 5.15pm.

"Who is this guy sleeping here?" asked Proxy as she exited the cabin pointing at dark monkey (Draven)

"Some drunk I guess…"

Aiden woke dark monkey up and all, Nagisa, Erina, dark monkey and Aiden followed her in a rush. Once they entered through back door, there was another club with same interior but with no people. Ego proxy sat there on top of the bar counter waiting for them. The door behind them closed.

"Welcome fools! Welcome to my oasis." Said Proxy with a confidence in her eye not wavering after seeing four people.

"Erina…tsk, tsk, tsk…Erina… you were so my type… I feel betrayed~." Said proxy with calmness on her face looking at Erina.

"Ha… I'm your type?…but you're not even a woman I would have a one night stand with..."

All of sudden, proxy became somewhat irritated.

"Hey, hey,… don't provoke her, sis in law… when she kick your ass we won't save you…" said Aiden in voice only Erina could hear.

"Hm…neat… calling me sis, subtly… If she don't marry you I will…" Whispered back to Aiden.

"Oi, Oi…" Called out to everyone Dark monkey.

"… She looks like a les elus, Should we retreat back and send the 'kill me' squad?"

"AH! MOMFUCKERS, DON'T DARE IGNORE ME!" Screamed angry Proxy.

Proxy unleased smoke from her palm, which covered the room a second and disappeared the next. The smoke was the 'seductress smoke'.

"Hey, watch out… we breathe that smoke… if we desire something else than the desire we hold now, she will take control of us." Said Erina ready to strike at chance.

"OH! Even kids, you 'all look well trained to hold your mental fort." Said surprised Proxy admiring their mental fortitude that has not been taken over yet.

"Yes, we all desire for your defeat and we sure will attain it." Said Aiden pointing his finger toward Proxy.

"Hehe, whatever it's not like I need these, useless power… I will mop the floor with you, myself~" Said Proxy with her confidence in her victor not wavering.

"Let's light this club on fire."
