At Huichen.

"Meng Xing didn't come here?" Lin Ze was surprised when he heard the servant's answer after he asked if Meng Xing came here in Huichen.

It was already afternoon and Lin Ze planned to have a talk with Meng Xing to discuss with him about the flower seller Ah Yu who he is suspicious with.

The servant nodded. "Yes, Officer Lin." He answered.

Lin Ze's brows knitted. He knows that Meng Xing returned to his home this morning after his friend picked him up, but he thought that Meng Xing would come here today in Huichen to ask if there was already an update regarding his missing 'friend', as well as the poison in his body.

However, Meng Xing didn't come… could it be his condition worsened? He thought as his brows knitted, feeling worried, especially now that he and Meng Xing are friends! He really has to know where Meng Xing lives!

Thinking this, he looked at the servant. "If only I know where Meng Xing lives…" Lin Ze muttered and meaningfully stared at the servant.

The servant almost rolled his eyes at Lin Ze. Want to buy an information about our boss? No way! He thought and just politely smiled at Lin Ze.

Lin Ze's expression sank, knowing what the servant's smile mean. As expected of Huichen! Even the servants are very tight-lipped! He thought and sighed in awe. "Hey." He called when he thought of something. "Huichen also buys information, right?" he asked.

The servant's brow slightly raised. "Yes." he answered. "Does Officer Lin have something he wishes to sell us?" he asked.

Lin Ze didn't answer and just grinned. "Your boss will know if you take me to him." he told the servant.

The servant secretly sneered. Our boss doesn't want to see you! He thought, though he still led Lin Ze to see Qiu Yi, who is disguising as the boss of Huichen. The boss naturally would not let his face be known, even to the most loyal customers of Huichen. Even the higher-ups of Huihen, like Qiu Yi and the others, no one knows who they are. Even if Qiu Yi disguises as the boss of Huichen, naturally, he would change his face.

Anyway, this isn't the problem of a small servant like him. All he needs to do is be polite to the guests and always remember the rules of Huichen. "This way, please." He said.

"Boss. She is really injured in her right arm." Qiu Qi said after she snuck inside the Meng residence as a maid with the help of Qiu Shisi's team monitoring the Meng residence, especially Meng Zixin.

Meng Xing smiled from behind the screen. "It seems that she is working alone, huh…" he muttered.

"What? Working alone?" Qiu Qi was surprised.

"En." Meng Xing nodded. "She didn't treat her injury, so it means that she doesn't care about anything, especially herself." He explained.

"I see…" Qiu Qi nodded in understanding. "But, boss, we can't find anything on the Yang family for their inn to be chosen by this Ah Yu." She spoke. "Could it be that it was just really a coincidence?" she asked.

"Maybe." Meng Xing just said.

Qiu Qi bit her lip. She is hoping that the Yang family is really innocent. After all, real good people are rare nowadays.

"Don't overthink. It might really just be a coincidence." Meng Xing spoke, comforting her.

"Yes…" Qiu Qi nodded in agreement.

"Boss." Qiu Shisi called as he appeared beside Qiu Qi. "There is news from Huichen." He spoke.

"What is it?" Meng Xing asked.

"Qiu Yi said that Lin Ze came to Huichen." Qiu Shisi answered. "And he said that Jin Peng was his third uncle – Fang Bozhi, the third son of the Fang family but was removed from their family tree." he said.

"This news, we already know." Meng Xing said.

Qiu Shisi nodded in agreement. "Lin Ze also gave another news, stating that this Ah Yu is from jianghu, and is the ghost of the Yang family inn." he said.

"I already know this." Meng Xing said and smiled. "I even know this this Ah Yu, a flower seller is not a female, but a male." He said.

"… WHAT?!" Qiu Qi and Qiu Shisi exclaimed in shock. "How?!" they asked.

Meng Xing's eyes narrowed. "Because he was the one who killed Jin Peng that dawn." He answered.

Qiu Shisi started. "That assassin?!" he exclaimed. "So, he is from the Writhing Snake… no wonder he is alone." He said. He was listening Meng Xing and Qiu Qi's conversation outside. "So, boss found out his identity through the wound that Lin Ze inflicted on him that dawn?" he looked at Meng Xing.

"Yes." Meng Xing nodded.

"Boss is amazing!" Qiu Qi exclaimed.

Meng Xing just smiled. "What did Lin Ze want to exchange this information, which are useless, for?" he asked Qiu Shisi.

"This…" Qiu Shisi grimaced. "He wanted to know your address." He answered.

Meng Xing's brow twitched while Qiu Qi coughed to hide her laughter.

"Qiu Yi didn't give it to him." Qiu Shisi immediately said. "As boss said, the two information are useless." He said.

Meng Xing nodded. "En. Good work." He spoke. "But, we still needed Lin Ze…" he said as his eyes narrowed.

"Huh?" they blinked. What did boss just say? They need Lin Ze?!

"Where is he now?" Meng Xing asked.

"Still at Huichen. He was stunned when Qiu Yi told him that we already know the information he told us." Qiu Shisi answered. "But, he didn't leave and continued thinking on the exchange." He told Meng Xing.

"Tell Qiu Yi that we will do an exchange with Lin Ze." Meng Xing spoke. "But, his side's exchange would be changed." he said.

"What is the exchange?" Qiu Qi asked.

"For Lin Ze to catch Ah Yu." Meng Xing answered. "In exchange for my address." He said.
