1 BNS Chapter 1 — Watch your language!

A young man of about 25 years old with a tired look was walking along the noisy city streets. He muttered something under his breath, not paying attention to the sidelong glances of the people around him:

"Damn it, this was clearly not the best job assigned to me this week. At times like this, I begin to question my ambition to become a professional handyman."

Remembering his work, he continued the monotonous mumbling:

"Although our company of highly skilled handymen is innovative, the list of jobs is too unpredictable. Due to the fact that i have the best qualifications in all areas of our company, i get the most difficult tasks."

Sighing dejectedly, the guy passed another sign of a random street establishment. After a while, he stopped in front of his favorite cafeteria.

"Well, i think that after such a busy day, a cup of coffee will obviously not be superfluous."

Smiling slightly, the guy went inside, and, like a longtime regular, immediately went to the checkout. The girl who was at the checkout immediately recognized the guy and spoke with a friendly smile:

"Wow, who am I seeing! This is our Mr. Jack of all trades. I thought that you would not show up today because you will be busy at work."

Still smiling, the guy stood in front of the saleswoman and answered:

"Well, although I finished a little earlier than planned, I was tired as if I had worked twice as long. To be honest, I even thought about going home right away and falling asleep."

The girl at the checkout was a little surprised and asked:

"Then why are you here? Don't tell me you are hoping that our coffee will cheer you up? I warn you right away that the batch of fresh beans is delayed, so the taste and effect will disappoint you."

Raising an eyebrow, the guy answered with a chuckle:

"Pff... Lisa, I don't think it's a good idea to tell your visitors about this. Besides, I have only half my hopes on coffee."

With feigned skepticism, the girl asked:

"Oooh, then what is your other half of hopes for, Alan?"

Slightly bringing his head towards the girl and looking straight into her eyes, the guy answered in a soft and gentle voice:

"To your smile, of course."

Hearing this, Liza was at first surprised, then with a slight embarrassment and a blush, she laughed:

"Ha ha ha! Oh, come on, Al. As usual, flirting with any girl in the most awkward way," while saying so, her face still showed a slight blush.

Scratching the back of his head with a slightly wry smile, Alan replied:

"Not with any girl, but only with the ones I like. At least if she's nice and pleasant to talk to, then I don't see anything wrong with speaking my mind honestly," then smirking, he added, " and what's wrong with being foolish and awkward sometimes? It's better that way than being hypocritical and pretending to be who knows who.

Passing the already prepared coffee, Lisa answered.

"Well, I have known you for a long time, and you have always been very open and honest in conversations, so I tend to believe you, but I would not vouch for others. Sometimes, your openness leads you into extremely stupid situations, especially when you reason out loud using your favorite obscene words."

Smiling, Alan immediately objected:

"Hey, take it easy! These words best convey emotions, and are good at placing accents in speech."

Rolling her eyes, the girl took the money for the coffee, and said with a smile:

"Anyway, I'm pretty sure that one day your involuntary speech will cause you serious problems, so be careful."

"Of course, 'Mom'."

Alan answered with a smirk as he walked away from the register with a glass of coffee in his hand. The girl just shook her head with a smile, and with a gentle look she saw off the leaving guy.

Walking down the street again, Alan sipped his coffee with a satisfied face:

"Mmm, although it tastes a little different, this coffee is still great."

After walking a dozen meters, Alan thought:

"Hmm ... This coffee will take some time, and home is just a stone's throw away. I guess I can go the long way through the park."

Turning into the park, Alan continued to enjoy his coffee. Walking through this little piece of nature, Alan made a plan for what show to watch at home. He was a big fan of serials and cartoons of various genres. So, as a very organized person, every time he made a plan of what exactly and in what order he would watch.

Lately, he was hooked on a quirky animated series called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, so he saw it as today's favorite to watch. As he walked, he thought:

"I've already watched more than six seasons, and I must say that the show really hooked me. The world shown there is a very interesting place. So naive, kind, sometimes goofy, and sometimes even evil, but in the same silly manner. I think it would be nice to live in such a world, forgetting about the difficulties and hardships of mine.»

"Huh..." (Sigh)

Sighing a little, Alan decided to find a bench and sit in the park for a while. After searching a little, he was surprised that he could not find a single free bench. Continuing along the path of the park, he sensed something strange on the side of the dense foliage covering the bushes and small trees growing along the path.

Indulging his curiosity, Alan began to peer through the leaves and branches, and was slightly surprised, as he noticed the outlines of a free bench, barely distinguishable through the dense foliage.

Gently pushing aside the branches, he squeezed through the foliage into an open area where a slightly rusty and loose bench stood. It was in front of a small statue in the form of a strange and unusual tree. This tree was carved as if its branches were crystal-shaped, and it was about the height of a man's height, and it was obvious that it was a miniature.

"Strange, I haven't seen this place before..."

Looking around, Alan thought:

"Hmm ... The bench looks a little rusty, but since there are no other places, I'll probably land here. Hopefully it can handle my weight."

Gently sitting down, Alan leaned back and relaxed continued drinking coffee. He was looking at a small statue of a tree, which caused a strange feeling that Alan could not explain. Frowning, he tried to remember if he had heard anything about this statue before or not.

After a while, Alana began to feel a strange sleepy feeling, accompanied by increasing fatigue. Even though he drank coffee, the eyelids felt heavier and heavier.

"Why am I... so... tired... Fuck!..."

Before he had time to finish, his body began to fall on its side, and his eyes finally closed, plunging Alan into complete darkness. But that was not the only oddity. Alan was fully conscious, and it was not like an ordinary dream, in which he was not always aware of himself, although he was capable of this. It was something else, as if the whole world was covered with a dark veil.

"What's happening? Where am I?"

Alan tried to move, but nothing came of it, his body seemed to have ceased to exist, which could not but frighten. He tried to understand what was happening, and thought that maybe he fell asleep in the park, and now he has sleep paralysis. He had heard of this phenomenon but had never experienced it before. While he was thinking, suddenly, the dark space began to fill with colors coming from somewhere in the distance.

"Shit, what the hell is going on !?"

As if falling into a strange colorful tunnel, Alan began to fly through a colored space with an unknown endpoint.

"Shit! Just don't tell me that Lisa decided to prank me and added something to my coffee? She couldn't do that to me, right...!?"

He continued thinking as he flew through the strange colored tunnel. Over time, he began to hear distant sounds, and little by little he felt his body.

"Finally, the feelings are returning, however, it is now felt somehow differently."

The tunnel grew brighter and brighter until all the colors blended into a solid white spot that blinded Alan. Gradually, everything returned to darkness.

"Mmm? I began to feel my body almost completely and the sound became very clear."

Al tried to move again, and finally he got it. The more he exerted his strength, the more he felt regaining control over his body. After a while, he tried to open his eyes. A bright light filled his field of vision, and when his eyes adjusted, he found himself in some kind of colorful train.

"WHAT THE FUCK???"

Before Al had time to recover, an indignant female voice was heard nearby:

"Excuse me! Watch your language, mister!"

Turning to the side of the speaker, Al was dumbfounded on the spot. Right in front of his eyes, on the next seat, sits a strange and slightly plump creature of yellow color, next to its apparently child.

"What the... where i... Wait... What... I mean... Who... are you?..."

The creature had a familiar shape, but somehow Al still couldn't recognize it. The creature looked at him strangely and answered:

"What a silly question? I am a pony just like you. Hmm... Now that i think about it, you look a little unhealthy, are you okay?"

"I am..."

Al was about to answer, but when he realized that she called himself a pony, it was like lightning struck him:

"WHAT THE FUCK???"

"MISTER!" A shocked yellow pony, covering her child's ears with her hooves, looked sternly at Alan.

At that moment, they were approached by another pony with brown fur and in a work cap, who was apparently a conductor. He looked at Alan and the pony woman and asked:

"Ma'am, sir, are you all right?"

The pony woman immediately began to explain everything that happened, not forgetting to point her hoof in the direction of Al in a formidable manner. The conductor looked at Alan and said:

"Sir, could you hold back your… um… impulses. You are not alone here, and there are many foals around. If you don't behave well, i'll have to drop you off at the next stop."

Alan finally realized that he really broke down in front of a child, and he felt ashamed. He wanted to try to apologize, and even started, trying to raise his hand but...

"Oh my god, I beg your pardon, i..."

But then he saw that instead of a hand, he also had a hoof. Before that, he simply missed the yellow pony's phrase that she was "the same" pony as he was. Al stared rooted to the spot at his newly made hoof, and again, unable to bear it, screamed:

"HOLY FUCK!!!"

After that, Alan did not remember very well what had happened, but when he finally came to his senses, he was already sitting at a deserted gray stop, and looked at the leaving train.

"Damn it, i hope Lisa doesn't find out about this. Especially after she warned me..."

As he looked around, Al was more and more amazed at the current situation.

"Where am i after all? And..." Looking at his hooves and his body, "why the hell did i turn into a pony?"
