1 Wind of Chaos

"What the fuck is happening?!"

A guy taking cover from the powerful black wind shouted in utter confusion, he was hiding behind somekind of a counter while trying to resist the wind that makes it hard for him to breathe.

Even with the counter that at least weighs more than five or six hundred pounds, the black wind slowly starts to push it but the guy that doesn't look older than 21 holds on to it.

Many of the things around him got rolled by the wind roughly. It's a miracle for him to even be able to hold on like this and not get blown by the wind.

Despite the situation he's in right now, the guy peeked to the side and finds two other people there standing still while the black wind pushes the other things around. It's weird for them to be able to stand still like that since the black wind thrust is very powerful.

Turning away from the two people, the guy then grits his teeth.

While he's taking cover from the black wind that doesn't seem to stop, he started cursing himself angrily, "For fuck sake, why did I go here anyway!"

In the back cafeteria of Jayarta International University, a group of students is sitting at the back end of the cafeteria chattering with a cigarette in between their fingers.

"God damn! Dimas, you got that much from doing crypto?", a guy exclaimed. He's looking at his friend's phone that shows a six-digit balance, something college students don't normally have.

Cracking a smile, the bald guy called Dimas puts his phone back into his pocket with a smug look on his face. Being the center of attention of the other four sitting around him makes him puff his chest up.

One of the girls in the group looks at Dimas with starry eyes, "Aren't you going to treat us, Dimas? I always let you look at my notes during class..."

Hearing this, Dimas looks at the pretty girl's eyes before he laughs heartily

"Of course! In fact, let's go right now!", Dimas replied standing up from his seat before stretching his hand at the pretty girl, and his hand is received excitedly by the pretty girl. She stands up and even hugs Dimas' arm intimately.

The other friends grumbled seeing Dimas only asking for the pretty girl.

"Bruv, you're simping too much. Our group clings firmly to the saying bros before hoes you know?", another guy said giving Dimas a sarcastic look. But even from the guy's eyes alone, it's clear that he's jealous of Dimas whose arm is getting hugged by the pretty girl intimately.

Replying with a dry laugh, Dimas then said, "I'll treat you guys later, today is specifically for a date with Stacy here. I'll be going then, Later!"

Clicking his tongue, the jealous guy then looks away from Dimas and Stacy putting on his headphones. His eyes then landed on a thin black cat that is straying at him.

With a smile, the jealous guy stretches his hand as the cat rubs its head on his hand.

"Tomorrow, I'll give you a treat alright Tanky?"

Meow!

Seeing that the cat, Tanky replied to him makes the jealous guy's smile even wider. He then started to play with Tanky trying to forget Dimas and Stacy.

The other two also changed the topic and started chilling in the cafeteria again. Since it's already night, the students of the university are already gone back home from the tiring torture they endure for the sake of education. The cafeteria is an open place that doesn't have anyone except for them, even the stores here are closed.

But their chattering was stopped when they hear a deafening sound.

Bang!

Just after the deafening sound can be heard, a high-pitch scream that should come from Stacy follows after. The scream is filled with terror, but the deafening sound resounded once again.

Bang!

This made the two others' bodies tense as they realized what that sound was, gunshot!

All of their eyes gazed at the exit on the other side of where they are sitting except for the jealous guy who was still oblivious to the situation, he was wearing headphones drumming with music so he didn't hear the gunshots.

Soon the jealous guy saw his two other friends looking at his back, he takes off his headphones seeing the fearful look on his friend's face. The guy then looks back before he saw another guy wearing an oversized black jacket walk into the cafeteria.

"Who the fuck is he? This is the Engineering major turf", the jealous guy mutters with a frown.

After muttering that, the jealous guy stands up walking at the guy that just walked in with both hands in his pocket. His friends notice him approaching the guy with wide eyes, "James! Come back here, don't provoke him!"

Despite his friends telling him not to, James approaches the guy wearing an oversized jacket. The way he walks is as if he owns the place, and his expression screams trouble.

"Oh, Pati! My beloved Brain Eater friend", James exclaimed excitedly realizing the guy.

Although James' tone is that of a friend, his expression shows that it's just a sarcastic remark. Picking up his pace, James then puts his arm over Pati's shoulder, "It's one in the morning, the store selling fried brain is closed. Come again tomorrow"

James laughs after saying that, but soon he noticed something, "What's that red thing on your face? Have you been scra-", before he can finish, he finally realized the red spots on Pati's face. It was blood!

Slowly turning his head to the side, he finds Dimas and Stacy lying on the ground just beside the exit with two holes in their chests. Their corpses are lying around their own pool of blood.

This makes James gulps harshly, and his face slowly turns pale in fear.

Pati who is silent all this while glances at James before he takes out his right hand out of the jacket exposing a pistol, it's an old model but it still works, "You're going to die today!"

"What the heck?! Are you out of your mind?!", James takes a few steps back in shock.

Out of all the things he expected from this encounter, he never would've thought that Pati suddenly pulled out a pistol intending to kill him, "Did your IQ lowers despite eating so many brains?! You're going to jail if you do this, your life will be over!"

"Do you really think I'm still worried about that?", Pati replied with a crooked smile. His resolve can be seen through his eyes showing that he's very determined.

James started to become even paler, looking at the corpses shows him that Pati is being serious.

While slowly backing away from Pati, James raises both of his arms up, "Please, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings...", he mutters pleadingly, but seeing the pistol he can't contain his fear. James turns around and starts to run the other way.

But a loud banging sound can be heard again making him fall to the ground.

"Huh... Haaahh!!", James feels nothing at first, but when he saw his leg have a hole in it his eyes widen. The pain soon struck making him screamed in pain. His friends look at him but are still rooted in their spots, they're too afraid to even move.

Pati slowly walks with a devious slash psychotic smile, he stopped just beside the wailing James on the ground, "You had it coming fucker!"

"You fucking psycho! I only tease you a bit, it's not even that bad!", James defended.

Hearing this, the pistol Pati is holding makes a clicking sound as he pulls back the hammer ready to shoot. Being pointed by a gun that is loaded and ready is a whole new feeling for James, he shivers just from even hearing the gun getting cocked.

"Wait! I'll repent! Please, I don't want to die!", James hurriedly added pleadingly.

Even then, there's no hint in Pati's expression that shows he might spare James. The other two people look away in fright, but just as Pati was about to pull the trigger.

SWOOSH!!

A powerful black wind suddenly came out of nowhere.

The black wind pushes the two other people not that far from James making them stumble and fall to the ground and started rolling, even James doesn't experience any better. He also got pushed and hits the store counter just beside him.

Pati also experience the same, he got pushed and hit the store counter on his side.

"What the hell is happening? A Tornado?", Pati mutters to himself while trying to resist the black wind to no avail, the force from the black wind is very powerful. It's like standing just behind an airplane that wanted to take off, or even stronger than that.

Bam!

Exerting every ounce of his strength, Pati grabs the edge of the counter before pulling himself to the side slowly. The wind feels a bit warm and prickly, but he can feel something is wrong.

After another pull, Pati manage to push himself inside the store counter and hid there.

The forceful force of the black wind got reduced instantly after he got behind the store counter, he was finally able to breathe albeit still feel stuffy because of the black wind.

"What the fuck is happening?!", Pati exclaimed in confusion.

This day should've been the day of retribution where he will bring karma to those who bullied him for his entire life in college that feels like hell because of them, he got mocked and teased all the time from always eating fried brain.

Pati didn't discriminate against other brains, he sometimes brings fried fish or even horses brains from home if he's bored with goat brain that is sold in one of the stores at the cafeteria.

Everybody has their own taste, he never understands why he got bullied for it.

But when he was about to pull the trigger and kill this motherfucker that ruined his college life, this black wind came out of nowhere gushing as if a tornado is right beside them. It's like an extension hand from God telling him not to do it.

While peeking at James' friends that are standing still despite the black wind.

Pati widen his eyes when he saw a black thingy coming out of their mouth that looks bizarre and unnatural, it was like their soul is getting sucked out of them because of the black wind.

"For fuck sake, why did I go here anyway!", Pati cursed himself helplessly.

Just as the counter that is sheltering him makes a cracking sound and was about to be broken, the black wind suddenly vanishes. Pati feels his breathing becomes fine again, he then looks around and finds that the black wind is really gone.

Standing up from behind the counter, Pati saw the cafeteria is a total mess.

Each and every table and chair are flipped and also cornered on the left side, his side because the black wind is blowing right. Only the counter that he hid behind is the only thing that survived the ordeal, it's very lucky that he hid there.

Walking around the counter, Aldo saw that James' body got pierced by many wood shards.

Many of the things inside the cafeteria are made of teak wood, and the black wind shatters them into sharp wood shards which stabbed James' body. From the looks of it, he seems to be dead.

"Fuck... I should've been the one that kills you", Pati clicks his tongue in displeasure.

The sight of the sharp wood shards stabbing James' stomach making some of his guts visibly seen slowly disturb Pati, he realized what he was seeing and started to feel like he was about to throw up. In case he threw up, Pati gets away from James' corpse and went back behind the counter.

But his nauseous feeling was disturbed when a blue message appears in front of his eyes.

[Ding!!]

[Wind of Chaos has winded the entire Earth. The talented surviving living being that has not got their chaos taken from them will be granted powers, the Era of Judgement has started!]

"The heck? Is this a game plot?", Pati mutters with a frown, but more messages appear.

Pati looks at the status window in confusion, the looks and even display of the status window are exactly like a game. Having most of his life alone without any friends but not lonely, Pati plays many games so he finds this display is just like a game.

While looking at the weird status window, he suddenly realized that he was not nauseous anymore, 'Hmm... this is weird. But just what is happening right now?

'The Era of Judgement...it sounds trouble'

Just after he thought of that, Pati walks out of the counter again.

Scanning his eyes to the surroundings, he thankfully finds his gun underneath the piece of wood and takes it, 'I was saving these last three bullets for James...', he thought glancing at James.

A flash of James' mocking look went past Pati's mind.

Feeling a bit annoyed remembering that moment, Pati approached James' corpse once again before pointing his pistol at James' corpse.

Bang! Bang!

One bullet shot at James' chest while another tore a hole in James' head cracking his skull, 'Ahh... that felt good', the relief Pati felt after doing that can't be described by words, but he suddenly hears a shattering sound from the back.

A scream soon follows before a loud crunch-splitting sound can be heard.

"What the fuck was that?"
