18 Going out of the University

'It's definitely a countdown, but what is it counting down for...?'

As the sky is currently dark, the green light becomes even more vibrant and clear. This makes the number nine that appeared in the sky glowing for anyone to see. From how big it is, any survivors in a couple of miles will definitely see this.

Upon looking at this event, Pati becomes uneasy and so do the others.

For the others, they fear that another Black Wind might strike them and summon more disgusting Zombies which will certainly make the situation even worst. But for Pati, his guts are telling him that if he didn't go there then he will lose an opportunity.

No matter how much he looks at the robed figure, it looks like a merchant despite its appearance.

"We're leaving now, we're going to that green light", Pati finally declared before he turns around heading to the plastic bag containing the brains, he then started to devour the brains even though he was quite full already.

This made the girls gasp as they are not used to seeing someone eating raw brains.

Brain juices are dripping from the corner of Pati's mouth as he shoves the brains one by one into his mouth, the red color of the brain juice shows that there's a mix of blood in it.

One of the girls, the brown-haired girl has a weak stomach.

Seeing Pati eat the brains as if they were delicacies made her stomach grumble, she closed her mouth with her hand instinctively but she can't hold it in. The brown-haired girl ran to the corner before she started to vomit.

Jeff saw Dinda wanted to say something but she was afraid to come closer to Pati.

With a sigh, he then approaches Pati before he asks, "Why do we need to go there? Isn't that a type of Zombie that we didn't know? It's dangerous, what if it decided to attack us if we go near it"

"It won't, I got a hologram message after reaching level 10"

"You will probably get the same message too, and that message said that I can now talk to Pershala. I don't know who this Pershala is but my guess Pershala is the Zombie at the base of that green light", Pati explains while pausing his brain devouring.

Hearing this, Dinda then brace herself and said, "There are many Zombies outside..."

"I don't think we'll survive with our current strength, why not wait for a couple of days to get stronger? Just to be safe", she suggested but her motive is definitely pushed by the fearful feeling of going out of the university's ground.

Pati devours the last one of the brains before gulping it forcefully.

From eating all of the brains that he harvested, Pati gained 8300 Chaos which is quite a huge chunk of Chaos. He then stood up before turning his body to face Dinda who is looking at him with a slightly pale expression.

But who wouldn't? The blood decorating Pati's mouth is still there and it's terrifying to see.

With slow and steady steps, Pati then stood right in front of Dinda before he replied with a serious expression, "Don't worry, I won't let you die. Just stay back..."

After saying that, Pati shifted his eyes to Jeff.

"Search bags or something to store snacks and water, I think you can find them in the computer lab. Three bags if you can, it's better to bring some spare if something went wrong", he instructed before Jeff nodded his head.

Salsa, who just finished vomiting suddenly said meekly from the side, "What about me?"

"I don't think I'm brave enough to go out..."

Hearing this, Pati shrugs his shoulders without a care in the world, "You can come with us or stay here, the choice is yours. I don't care...", he replied harshly before turning around and heading to the nearest seat to rest a bit.

Jeff saw that Salsa's expression turns pale as she plays with her fingers nervously.

With the brightest smile he can put on, Jeff then nudges Salsa's side before he said confidently, "Just come with us, there's nothing to worry about. I will always protect you"

Salsa slightly blush turning her eyes away shyly.

This cute reaction makes two steaming breaths come out of both of Jeff's nostrils like a raging bull, but in Jeff's case, it's also a raging bull but the bull is inside his pants, "Stop flirting and get the fucking bags, I still can leave you if I wanted to"

"Nah... you wouldn't do that, we're brothers!", Jeff replied with a teasing smile.

Pati can't help but roll his eyes hearing what Jeff just said, "Brothers my ass, leave now or I will feed your fatass to the Zombies. I'm sure even Zombies would like to taste your lustful brain"

"Hey, man! Come on, that's not cool", Jeff grumbled but he eventually left the classroom.

While this is all happening, Dinda was stuck in her spot as if she turned into a statue. She heard what Pati said earlier and can't help to be stunned. Although she knows he didn't mean it like that, somehow during this exact moment, Pati looks dashing.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she can feel a burning gaze on the side of her face.

Dinda snapped out of her daze and glanced to the side and saw Pati looking at her weirdly, "What are you doing standing there in a daze? Did you get bitten or something?"

"Ah... No, I'm sorry", she replied before she sat down on another seat on Pati's right.

Although it's just a brief moment, Pati finds Dinda's cheeks which are usually pale from what's happening around them turn reddish for a moment. But he didn't put much thought and stretched his body waiting for Jeff to come back.

Shortly after,

Pati and the others arrived at the front entrance of the university building, each one of them already holding a weapon of their own. With limited resources, they can only afford knives and such.

Two knives are in Pati's hands, Jeff is holding a machete, while the girls are both holding a knife.

Aside from the knives which they will use to defend themselves, except for Pati they all have a bag on their backs. Jeff and Dinda's bags contain food and water while Salsa's bag is empty.

Glancing over his shoulder to Salsa, Pati then said, "Remember to harvest them all"

Hearing this, Salsa gripped her knife tighter feeling the nervousness start to kick in as the front gate is already in sight. She will be tasked to harvest and store the brains of the Zombies they killed.

If she wanted to be in his group, she will need to contribute something.

Fighting Zombies are out of the equation since she's practically still weak even against a normal Walker, so the only thing she can do is to become Pati's personal backpack.

Without a doubt, Pati and Jeff will be busy dealing with the Zombies.

Dinda is the top priority in the middle since she's the healer of the group. But from her looks of concern, Pati can tell that Dinda will probably protect Salsa too. It's going to be a problem if she got attacked, 'I need to keep an eye on her'

After checking the team, they then walk out of the front entrance of the building.

Even before the automatic door is opened, the others saw a dead Zombie's corpse lying on the way. They all look at it in disgust seeing the long tongue that is not normal for a former human to have.

While looking at the corpse, Jeff then commented, "What the heck is this Zombie?"

"We never saw this one before..."

Hearing this, Pati glance down at the corpse before he turns his eyes away, "It's the Zombie that almost killed me, it came out of nowhere and block the front entrance"

Upon hearing this, the others' eyes look at the corpse once again.

But instead of disgust, they look at the corpse in a new light, a fearful light to be exact.

After walking over the corpse, the group of four then reaches the gate. From the inside, they can already see many different types of Zombies walking around aimlessly. It's going to be a pain since these Zombies are not fighting each other.

With this harmony of the same kind, the number of Zombies around the area is still the same.

Roughly counting mentally, Pati finds that there are at least more than two dozens of Walkers and a couple of Brawlers that are nearing the supermarket. One particular Zombie that stands out is the Brawler holding a power pole.

From this alone, it seems this Brawler is the highest rank one.

"Me and Jeff will clear the area first, both of you stay here until we're clear", Pati instructed.

Hearing this, Jeff takes off the bag and gave it to Dinda. He cracks his neck before tensing his muscles preparing for a fight, "You kill all of the Walkers, I'm going to wipe out the Brawlers"

"Alright, just tell me when", Jeff replied seriously.

But when Pati thought that Jeff had finally become serious, he suddenly saw Jeff looking back at Salsa before giving her a comforting smile. This scene looks exactly like a man that was about to part with his lover for war.

Even Salsa blushed again making Pati rolls his eyes, "Focus or you're going to die you dumbass"

Pati holds the gate's door and saw that it was locked. He grabbed the lock and with his strength that reaches the three-digit points, he crushed the lock rather easily which is already showing his power is inhuman.

Clank!

After crushing the lock, many of the Zombies glanced in their direction.

"Let's go!", Pati shouted before opening the gate and jumping out.

Jeff also follows after but he didn't forget to close the gate back before lunging into the horde of Zombies like a maniac, they both slaughter through the Walkers that are crowding them easily like killing babies.

Each swing of their arms never fails to make one Walker's head sent flying.

Upon reaching the mid-point of the street, Pati and Jeff looks at each other before they nodded their heads. Both of them then head in different directions, Pati head to the Brawlers while Jeff heads to the Walkers.

Graah!

Roar!!

Pati saw four Brawlers roar and sprint toward him.

Any normal human that was given this sight will definitely crumble in fear, each step of the Brawlers makes the ground tremble as if a group of running elephants is heading toward him. But a smile appears instead on Pati's face.

Looking at these Brawlers, all he can think of is the Chaos they will yield.

The moment when he sent two brawlers that are charging toward him flying away is the moment he feels the satisfaction of becoming this strong, it's intoxicating and now he understands why some people are addicted t power.

Knocking someone's teeth with a punch should be pretty satisfying in its own right.

With the apocalypse happening, not only can Pati knocks a normal person's teeth off with a punch but he can also bash their heads in, even two Brawlers, two muscular eight feet Zombies got sent flying away.

Two of the four charging Brawlers get sent crashing away after colliding with Pati.

Pati then readies the two knives seeing the two other Brawlers using the Hammer Fist skill, they raise both of their arms before they swung down powerfully with a mighty roar.

Boom!

Under both of their attacks, the ground crumbles easily.

After dodging their attacks, Pati was about to dash in but suddenly stop when he saw two cars on his side. With a smirk, Pati grabbed one of the cars before throwing it at one of the standing Brawlers.

His aim is impeccable as he even finds it surprising that the car hit right on the Brawler's head.

With the force brought by the car crashing to its head, the Brawler's head caved in as it stumbles to the ground. But there's no message from the system showing that it's still alive.

The ground beneath Pati cracked a little as he jumped into the air.

Pati then stomped on the Brawler that got hit by the car exploding its head with ease.

[Gained a level 11 Brawler Chaos]

After killing the Brawler under his feet, Pati charges at the remaining Brawlers that has some of their limbs broken. Using the two knives in his hands, Pati dodged their attacks and stab them by the neck.

His movement is not perfect but it gets the job done.

Pati then jumped when he saw another Brawler was about to hit him while he was trying to kill the Brawler he just stabbed, the attack missed him but hit the Brawler he stabbed instead.

Using his more than 100 points in agility, he sprinted to the other Brawler.

Without even having the chance to do anything, the Brawler got stabbed on its neck again since that is its weak spot. Not stopping there, Pati then jab the other knife before the muscles in his arms bulged.

Blood splattered to the surroundings as Pati ripped the Brawler's head off.

After two Brawlers are down, the other two become easy to kill. It didn't take long before the two other Brawlers fall to the ground lifeless with Pati holding his bloodied knives on top of them.

[Gained a level 13 Brawler Chaos]

[Gained a level 14 Brawler Chaos]

Pati killed four Brawlers with ease, there was no major challenge in killing them.

But now his eyes shifted to the last Brawler holding the power pole, this Brawler is looking at him intensely with its undead eyes. A menacing aura is covering its entire body spiking Pati's senses awake.

After an intense staredown, the Brawler stomps the ground powerfully.

ROAR!!

Spits of saliva filled its ground-shaking roar, even the wind coming from its roar makes Pati's hair flutter. Pointing the bloodied knives to it, Pati then taunted back, "Let's dance, motherfucker!"
