30 First Mission With The Demon (UPDATE added a mission)

We set out early in the morning to meet with the rest of the team. when we get there i see sasuke running up about a fourth of the way the trunk. I thought he would be further along than this. He's made good progress but is still finding it weird. Maybe it's a mental block preventing him from grasping the skill concept.

Then Naruto and I start our morning routine, going light, not wanting to push ourselves too far. Naruto then goes off to practice his clones. I went up to Sasuke and saw he was still suck in the same spot as when we arrived. he was breathing, head, sweat rolling down his body. I realized something was wrong. He falls to the ground, landing on his back as I walk up and look down at him. he stares me in the eye and asks with just his eyes, 'What.'

"I can see you are having problems and that you're pushing yourself too hard." he gives me a grunt in response, but I get a wicked idea. "you know it would have taken Naruto like a month just to get up the tree without a little extra from me. I feel like it could help you too, but I don't think you can handle it." I leave it at that as I turn around to train. I hear Sasuke jump up and run in front of me and say. "I knew he couldn't get so good so fast without help. What did you give him? Whatever it is, if he can take it, so can I, and I can improve 10 times faster than him.

I gave him a cheeky smile and said. "well, I don't know. Like I said, you may not be able to handle it. How about this? We will make this a challenge. You will try to get to at least halfway through the next two days. If you make it halfway in two days, you win and won't even need my help. And I'll give you a reward. But if you fail to make it halfway at the end of the second day, I will provide you the item that will help you. But you have to wear it whether or not you like it or not. We will repeat the challenge. You'll have another two days to make it to the top of the tree, but if you make it to the top in the two days, you will keep wearing what I give you, and if you don't make it up, you never need my help, and you can take it off whenever you want. How does that sound?" holding out my hand to confirm the deal

He looks a little hesitant at first but reaches out and shakes my hand and says, "Deal." He has no idea what he's in for. I pull my hand back and tell him, "Take a break and freshen up. We're going on our first mission today." I walk away to go train. Sakura showed up a little late, saying she woke up late. Instead of training, she was trying to get Sasuke to go out with her. *DING*

3 hours pass like this until Kakashi shows up, giving some lame excuse. I mostly ignore him until he tells us to follow him for our first quest. We go to the Hokage's tower, but we head to what I guess is the mission hall. It's an open-concept room. Tables lined the room's walls, with Chunin and Joinin behind each one, looking like they each handled different leveled missions. But the Hokage was here instead of his office, which is weird, but if I had to guess, I would say he wants to personally give out every team's first mission as a show of sincerity.

I would think he is too busy to hand out every mission report every single day to every team and ninja. That would be insane. But doing it on the first time should be fine. We walk straight up to the Hokage with Iruka sitting beside him, helping him go through all the mission scrolls. He greets us with a laugh and says. "Congratulations on your first day as real naija of the hidden leaf village! Now, for your first mission, let's see here what a good first mission would be. Oh! This one is good. You will help in finding the Daimyō wife's cat. It went missing during their most recent visit, and they would like it retrieved before they leave tomorrow. This is a good introductory mission for any inspiring ninja." he says, giving a hardy laugh.

His laugh was good-natured if I didn't know what this mission was. But from what I know, his laugh is one of pure evil. Naruto complains, saying, "How is that a ninja's mission? I thought we would be rescuing princesses or liberating a country. Why are we trying to find a cat, of all things?" Getting a nod from Sasuke and Sakura.

Iruka looks irritated and yells at Naruto. "You are the lowest of the low when it comes to ninjas. Even with all the things you learned in the Academy, you still need to improve your skills and learn many more things before you start doing anything, like saving princesses or liberating countries. I'm Chunin, and I don't go on missions like that. So what would make you think you would go on missions like that straight out of the Academy?" he says in a huff.

Naruto looks disappointed; his pure and honest thoughts of what a ninja would be shattered into pieces right before him. Kakashi then takes the scroll and tells us we should get going while the sun is still up. We head out to do our mission with a lot of complaining from Naruto, but eventually, we all just ignore him. The mission went as I expected, down in the ditch. Our teamwork was abysmal. And while Naruto and I were a little bit ahead, it still didn't help catching that damn demon cat. I swear it can use chakra. I'm pretty sure I saw them walking up a wall at one point and even sprinted across the water while we were trying to catch it, but I could've just been seeing things.

We were all pretty messed up after securing the demon in the cage. All of our clothes had slashes and holes that weren't before, and even my resistant clothing had some faint marks here and there. We head back to the mission hall to turn in the cat. Surprisingly, the Daimyō wife was already waiting there for us. She was a well-dressed but portly woman. At one point in her life, I could tell she was a stunning beauty, but years of overindulgence led to losing her beauty. She took the cat out and started to almost crush the cat to death. We are then called over by a chunin. He hands Kakashi a set of scrolls, who then hands the smaller ones to us, saying it was our payment.

He opens his and turns to us, saying, "Well, that is for today. We will meet at the bridge just down the road every morning to take a mission or two every day. Then, train for 3 hours every day after missions. We will take weekends off, but the train will be on Saturday morning. You'll have to rest the day off after that. So, head home and rest for today. Except you." he says, pointing at me and motions for me to follow him as we head up to the Hokage's Office. We walk straight in, ignoring the receptionist, and I see the Hokage and two women talking.

We walk in and wait to be acknowledged. The Hokage then says, "Looks like the guest of honor has arrived. Let me introduce you. This is Zalea. And Zalea, these two will be your side sensai's.
