126 The Big Revelation

A sudden buzz ingulfed the room as everyone began to discuss among themselves about the reason for the destruction of a mega planet.

Luna didn't rush to explain anything, instead she gave everyone a few moments to digest everything she had just said.

A planet of this scale getting destroyed wasn't something to scoff at. People simply couldn't comprehend how it could've been possible.

After she was satisfied with everyone's questioning gaze, she continued.

"Everyone present here must be wondering about what could've caused this. Let me explain to you the circumstances first. Contrary to what it looks like, B1 wasn't a simple planet. It had a lot of intrecasis in it's ecosystem. But the most prominent feature of this planet would be the energy lines that ran throughout the planet." Luna said as she changed the projection to a ground that was filled with orange veins running through it.

"These orange vein like structures that you are seeing are capable of carrying about 100 times the energy of the surface of a typical sun. And they carry this energy throughout the planet." Luna revealed with a smirk.

She loved to see the reactions of everyone present.

The gasps she could hear was pleasing to her ears. She loved this kinds of reaction to her work.

"Although we don't understand how these energy lines carry this immense amounts of energy through them, What we do know that if we were to calculate the total amount of energy stored in these lines throughout the planet, it would amount to about 40 stars." Now that was an even more shocking revelation.

Some of the researchers couldn't sit still anymore. They quickly got up and tried to say something. But found their voice to have been snubbed out by the audio management of the summit room. Only those permitted to talk could be heard. Everyone else needed to stay quite.

But their reactions said it all. They couldn't believe that such a thing was even possible. And wanted to call bullshit on Luna's claims. But that needed to wait for later.

"Now, after hearing that such amounts of energy was stored on the planet. One might assume that this was the cause of the destruction of the planet. While that's true to certain extent, But the lines aren't the root cause of this. It's him." She quickly changed the projection again.

This time to a portrait of Dr. Kita. Many in the crowd recognized him. How could they not? He was such a accomplished researcher and was near the very top in the research community.

"You see, although the energy lines store and carry such insane amounts of energy through them, but they are in fact really stable. They are extremely efficient at what they do and is designed to disperse the energy stored inside them instantly if anything every happens to the line. But that doesn't result in a combustion like one might expect. instead the energy simply ceases to exist."

This time it was Dr. Aeon who spoke.

"But energy can't be created or destroyed. How does the energy inside the lines cease to exist after it had been cut from the network?" He was really interested in this.

Luna acknowledged his remark and moved to ask.

"My thoughts exactly. But from everything I've gathered and all the data that I've analyzed, that the energy inside the lines instantly disappears when it's cut from the rest of the network. Whether they go back to the environment or to the network some other way, Has yet to be concluded." Luna answered the question.

"Now, The question arises, if the lines are so stable, then why are the related to the explosion of the planet. Well, you see, when the THS shore went to inspect the planet, an accident occurred which led to the death of some it's crew members and some highly accomplished researchers. One of those researchers was Dr. Helen. A well know Botanist and exo planet expert, And also, Dr. Kita's wife."

"In his grief of losing his wife, Dr. Kita went against all his orders and fired a single Class E JYU Fritzer missile towards the planet. This resulted in the release of all the energy stored inside the energy lines and the destruction of the planet."

A buzz could be heard. A single missile was capable of doing this?

"But if the lines were so stable, then why did the warhead caused it to release all the energy stored in them? That was question I asked. So I started to simulate all the events that happened from the moment the missile left the Ship."

"The answer I found was that, it didn't. No matter what, The explosion from a regular payload of the fritzer wasn't capable of releasing the energy stored inside them. They were just that stable."

Everyone tensed up. If not the fritzer, then what?

"So I tried changing the payload. I've tested all known warhead and nuclear technologies available to humankind. But alas, event the most cutting edge warhead payload couldn't achieve this feat."

Now this was a bombshell. If nothing resulted into the destruction of the planet, then how did Dr. Kita did it?

"So I went back to all the data gathered from the Shore. I wanted to see if I was missing anything and if my model was wrong. I didn't find any problems with my simulation model. But what I found was a faint signal that the sensors of the Shore caught moments after the impact." Luna pressed a button that opened up a chart. The chart showed a pair of signal that had occurred right after the impact.

Luna looked around the room to see some agitated faces.

"I cross checked the signal from known databases for any matches. There was only as single match." Luna said as she pulled up another set of signal.

"This signal is the same as when Anti-matter collides with matter and spontaneously explodes."

The charts moved on top of each other and showed the match of the signals.

"So, My theory is that they Payload Dr. Kita Thiels used inside his Fritzer, was Anti-Matter." Luna revealed the big revelation.
