Chapter 1

On a regular day…

Jason was driving home while talking to someone on the phone, one moment he was talking on the phone and the next he heard an ambulance's sirens.

Then everything went dark.

Jason woke up with dizzy eyes. Soon his eyes started to regulate.

He looked around and found out he was sitting on grass, Infront of him was a river with sickly green water.

'Am I dead? Is this hell?' Jason thought, there was no way something so supernatural existed on earth, it also explained why he couldn't remember the moments before he woke up.

'But there's no fire, or demons.' Jason thought, he never believed in God so maybe this is where people without faith go?

Jason just sat here staring at the 'water' processing that he was dead, but after some time he got over it. He then started reminiscing about his life. He was 35, at least before this, his parents had passed away when he turned 30. He had no family and only a couple of friends.

He was a typical worker at a supermarket.

The only thing special about him was the disease he had, which made him not feel (physical) pain.

'I really was, just ordinary.' Jason thought.

"Are you done reminiscing?" a male voice asked as Jason jumped away in fright.

"uuh, dafuq?" Jason thought aloud as he found Jesus Chris staring at him.

"Jesus Christ?!" he screamed like a little girl; it was quite possible this was the actual Jesus Christ.

"Mhm, that's my name." Jesus smiled, the smile was contagious, radiant, and Jason thought about praising the Lord.

"There's no need for that." Jesus clarified, as his smile twitched.

"…"

"…" Jason and Jesus just stared at each other.

"I'm dead, correct?" Jason asked.

"Yes"

"…"

"What happens now?"

"You have two choices: either I take you to heaven or you can embark on another adventure." Jesus explained.

"…What kind of adventure?" Jason asked with suspicious eyes.

"In Earth's internet language – I can reincarnate you into any place, fiction or just same old Earth." Jesus continued.

"…" Jason stayed silent, there was no way he was staying on earth, life sucked if you weren't rich or lucky. So now he was just contemplating fictional worlds to travel to.

"-with one wish"

"Reincarnate me in the Webtoon – Boundless Ascension* with Doomsday's adaptability and regeneration." Jason spoke barely containing his smile, he couldn't feel pain so he could in theory become all powerful without needing to train or do anything for that matter.

He also thought of going to DBZ or DxD, but this manhwa was his favorite and it had some fine women so why not? He thought. (I'm not disrespecting DBZ or DxD)

"Done, off you go" Jesus smiled.

'Wait…' Jason realized a fault in his plan, and that was that Doomsday's regeneration would heal his disease and he was frankly afraid of feeling pain after living 35 years without feeling any.

"WAIT!!!" Jason yelled.

"…I'm waiting."

"Can I keep my disease?" Jason begged.

"Oh… sure." God smiled and snapped his fingers as Jason disappeared.

Jason suddenly fell on his ass, after looking around, he found out that he was in the middle of a park with people staring at him with shock.

Jason completely ignored the looks, closed his eyes, and started praying, thanking God.

When he was done praying, he opened his eyes, which widened in shock. His lips soon curved upwards.

[The 'TOWER OF TRIALS' is praising you for your inability to feel pain.]

Jason stared at the screen and burst out laughing.

He then again got displaced, this time falling.

Then more screens appeared:

[The 'TOWER OF TRIALS' has selected all suitable candidates from EARTH.]

[Please select your difficulty.]

[The rewards you get will be directly proportional to your chosen difficulty.]

[HELL]

'Was there a difficulty like that?' Jason thought, but still chose the [HELL] difficulty.

[We hope that you will obtain satisfactory results… though you will most definitely die…]

'Fuck' Jason cursed, that description was surely bad, maybe he was too excited.

[You will enter the first floor of the 'TOWER OF TRIALS' shortly.'

[ERROR]

[No stats found… distributing.]

[The trial will begin soon. Prepare yourself challenger.]

Jason was now standing, everywhere he looked were only dense trees.

'Most likely a forest, but something feels bad.' Jason thought.

[Weapons will be provided.]

Weapons fell out of the sky onto the ground. Bows, axes, swords, spears, etc.

Jason picked up a spear because it seemed to be the easiest to use.

[The subject of this TRIAL is 'HUNTING'.]

[Reward: for completing the TRIAL – 'B class skill']

"…" Jason closed his eyes: on one hand a 'B class skill' was amazing for the tutorial… on the other hand, the trial would have to be that much more difficult.

Jason opened his eyes and instantly gripped the spear. Far from him stood something resembling a werewolf, but his instincts told him. That was no werewolf.

[The tutorial TRIAL will begin.]

His head flew off his shoulders…
