Bound To The Vampire Prince

The human race was at war with the vampires but it all came to an end when an agreement was made. A truce that had been in existence for centuries– a woman would be offered to the current vampire prince to be his wife or mistress, trapped forever as his prisoner. It sounded drastic but thousands of women would kill for that spot but Eliza was the unlucky one Some said she was lucky, while others said it was through power and wealth that she managed to catch the interest of the cursed prince. Eliza lost all her privileges the moment she was proclaimed his bride but what happens when the vampires demand for their prince to have a child with Eliza? Or he chooses another human female that would do the job. " Don't worry, I respect your decision, I understand if you want to take in another wife." She whispered with a handful of tears ready to spill out from her reddened eyes " No wife, you are the only woman in my life!" Dav exclaimed. Will that promise hold for a long time, when Eliza refused to do her duty as the Prince's wife?

Agatha

No no no, why did Dav bring me here? We talked about large gatherings and how I hated it but he turned deaf ears to my words. I found myself in what seemed like a park. It was surprising how a lot of vampires, especially the young ones, could be seen playing around. In human territory, kids would have been asleep.

As expected, on noticing our presence, the vampires stopped whatever they were doing as they pushed their focus at me. I could see detestation on most of the adults' faces while the kids stared at me in awe. I could easily guess that it was their first time seeing a human.

Dav once again wrapped his arms around my waist and called out for a child, whose parents stood close to him. I knew that the child's parents wouldn't have let him come too close to me if Dav hadn't personally called out for him.

" Hello child, what's your name?" Dav asked

" Raven, my name is Raven, your highness." The boy bowed as he said those words and I couldn't help but smile at his politeness.

" That's a nice name," I uttered but the smile on the child's face abruptly disappeared. He didn't say anything but stared at me like I was a creature that had just crawled from another realm.

" Do you know who she is?" Dav asked the child and to my surprise, he nodded his head. Even if he hadn't seen a human, it was possible that he must have been told what humans looked like and the enmity the vampires and humans shared.

" Yes I do, she doesn't have pale white skin as we do, so I guess she's human." The child did sound like a grown-up. If he had turned out to be human, I would be certain that he would have been eight years old.

Dav's smile widened as he ruffled the boy's hair with his palm. The other children noticed what was going on which made them rush to us, Dav to be precise, none of them chose to come closer to me. That simple act did something to my heart. How could I be abandoned by children?

" She's not just human, she is my wife, your princess." Immediately after Dav's words, the children finally turned their gaze, some of them seized me from head to toe before forming a smile on their faces.

" Hello, your highness." They said in unison as they approached me including the child Dav had Initially called.

Only my stars knew how joyful I was, I guess they developed a love for me when they heard I was their princess. Before I knew it, I felt a tiny palm hold onto my hand which made me grin widely.

Some of the adult vampires who had witnessed what had taken place gasped in shock. At least, this could prove that there could be unity between vampires and humans.

I stared at the child that held my hand, she was a girl.

" Hey, what's your name?" I asked, intensely staring into her eyes.

" Agatha my princess." She whispered but my ears were sharp enough to hear what she had said. For an unknown reason, I felt some sort of attachment to her since the moment she touched my hand.

I saw her move her gaze to a distance, I followed her gaze, she was staring at a female, and I concluded that the female must have been the child's mother.

The female looked displeased that the child had touched me, I didn't know if it was just my imagination but I felt the child's grip hardened as the female gave off a deadly stare.

I looked at Dav, then at the female, and then back at the child. Something was wrong.

I bent to her level and leaned close to her ear.

" Who is that female, is she your mother?" I asked.

The girl refused to answer me, instead, she stared at me with her big round eyes. It was clear that she had tried to pass across a message that was able to grab.

I turned my gaze back to Dav who had given me a questioning look.

" Dav, I would like to have this child." I proclaimed for a loud gasp to be let out of some of the vampires' mouths. But when I saw the smile on the child's face, I was more determined to take her as mine.

I didn't want to see another person go through my experience; living under the wing of an abusive parent but in this case, it seemed the female wasn't her mother.

" Why?" He asked.

" She asked that I take her, right Agatha?"

" Yes my princess, I would like to come with you." She immediately cut in on my word.

" Who is the guardian of the child?" Dav faced the vampires as he echoed those words to everyone hearing. The strange female raised her hand and slowly walked up to us while her stares were still at Agatha.

" This child said she doesn't want you anymore, can you explain why?" Dav asked, simultaneously staring at the female and the child.

" This ungrateful little bitch, I have given—"

" It's enough, the Royal Family will be taking this child away from you. You are not treating her right. She is now in the possession of my wife." Dav cut in on the female's words.

There was no way she would be taking care of Agatha if she could shamelessly call her a bitch in the public.

" But my prince." The female tried to argue but with one stare, she had no choice but to retort away from us.

" If you are not satisfied with my judgment, you are free to drop your complaint at the Royal Castle.".

With those words, Dav began to walk away, I followed suit with Agatha in my hand. The children waved me goodbye before we disappeared from the scene.

Maybe, the night wouldn't turn out to be a disaster, I had saved an abused child all thanks to Dav.
