Giving her fate a chance
Waking up the next day, Elizabeth was surprised when the first face she saw was that of Derek sitting beside her and holding a bowl of soup and when she sat up surprised why he was there, she nervously pushed hair off her face and cleared her throat not sure what to say
"W...what are you doing?"she asked, looking at the delicious soup which appeared warm to her eyes. Derek scanned her for a while and took a spoonful of the soup and extended it to her, and Elizabeth was shocked as she tried to process what was happening. Why was the cold-hearted vampire finally acting like a gentleman
"You don't want this?"he asked and Elizabeth widened her eyes not in shock but in a way as if asking with her face what was going on with him. Since last night he lent his shoulders to cry on he was acting strange
