Rearing Itself - Chapter 2

"You will never escape me boy"

Shadows POV:

This voice... it's been there since day one, its never ending day in and day out.

Right now I'm guessing you're wondering who I am, where I come from and why am I going through this yeah?

Funny thing is, I don't even know myself hehe.

All I know is I ended up in this town with no recollection of my past and no idea who I am or who I was, the only thing I remember is my name and that's it. Other then that everything's a blur. I have no idea who my parents are or if I have any, no relatives no friends from the past not even a pet.

It ain't that bad though I've got a friend who's been with me since I could remember, that's about the only thing tying me to this town, other then that I've got nothing, no one. (Oh and I've been living in this house alone too. Somehow I always have food and stuff that I need randomly appearing here in this place,the house is another random occurrence that no one could explain.)

And for some reason this thing in my head, whatever it is keeps on mentioning my past but it never gets to anything worth listening to.

Right then Illume steps in:"Yo bro what's up how ya doing any new anime or something."

"Nah bro same old same old...hey dude I've got a bit of a question for ya. Do you perhaps know how I arrived in this town or why I can't remember anything."

Illume responds with:" Yeah bro you came here...you came here... you... uh... ya know. You've been here since... shiiiiiit."

"Yeah I thought so I don't even know myself bro, how'd I get here? Who really knows the answer to that."

Right then The Void speaks up.

"I know the answer to that one."

"Shut up!"

Illume answers:" Woah dude no need to get angry okay chill out. It's not like we wouldn't be able to find out."

"Nah bro wasn't talking to you. Anyway it's not like we'd find out so easily just by looking, I doubt anyone would know.

Illume:"Dude quit being so pessimistic you douche. We'll find out someone has to at least know something about your past." (He's talking to himself now, damn how bad is it.)

"Okay then, so you say but let's see how that works out for you."

Illume:"Dude quit being such a little bitch, okay how about this let's go right now, let's find something on your past even if it's small it's at least something and if we do, cheer up little brother you know I'm here to help you out (Damn, I hate seeing him like this, there has to be something that'll help him, I'll find something about his past and help him out of this slump if it's the Last thing I Do.")

"Sure, why not, but don't blame me if we find nothing I've been searching and there seems like nothing's out there. Thanks anyway Big bro."

Oh Yeah just so you know, the whole big bro, little bro thing, it's not real, we're not really related but it feels as if we are. And it actually helps me somewhat, makes me feel as if I actually have some family in this world.

So as we begin searching around looking for some clue as to where I came from we come across something peculiar or rather...someone hiding in the shadows of an alley that we passed.

Shadowy Figure:"Oh my it seems as if the wheels are turning, the boy is developing into the ender of this world."

"Huh what was that, hey dude uhh is that someone there saying something dude, dude, dude!"

Illume:"Calm done bruh, excuse me uhhh..."

Shadowy Figure:"I'm just a wandering traveler who's seen through the depths of time and transcended to a higher calling don't mind me."

"Oh hey it's a looney nothing to be scared of Illume why were you even scared pfft."

Illume:"Dude I literally saw you sweating bullets but I wasn't scared then but I am now."

"What it's just a crazy person, why?"

Illume points out in the direction of the traveler and says:"That's why."

Soon everyone is blinded by a Mysterious Light emanating from the hands of the traveler.

Once the light is gone I talk.

"Huh well that's a pretty neat trick if you wanna send us into a breakdance coma, that light was something huh Illume haha? Illume? Where the heck?"

Illume's POV:

After all the light disappeared I find myself all alone in some other worldly looking place...well almost alone.

"That's a pretty neat trick, Shadows probably cracking a joke about this right now, so what do you want Traveler, you wouldn't have brought me here for no reason and wouldn't have gone through all the trouble to isolate me like this, just be careful for what you say, I'm really not happy that you left my buddy in the cold like that."

Traveler:"Oh my if that's all it took to make you angry then we might be doomed already."

"What are you talking about. Spit it out already. Speak or I might just have to bite your head off after I kick your ass."

Traveler:"My, my such a temper. Let me just say this, that so called friend of yours. What do you really know about him, has he already spoken about his past? Probably not considering as you're still around him. If only you knew what you have gotten yourself into boy."

"Hey you're not really making sense and it's really starting to tick me off right about now. Want me to break your legs?"

Traveler:"Patience young one, ever hear that patience is a virtue. It's something that you'll need if you want to survive what's coming and you know what's the worst part, every one of you remains completely oblivious as to what kind of monster you are harboring in this so called town of yours."

"Monster? Those things aren't real, hey maybe Shadow was right maybe you are just a looney."

Traveler:"That's exactly who the monster is you fool."

"Shadow? A monster? Pffft what are you talking about, seems like you're more crazy then I thought, I think you're too far past the sane threshold."

Traveller:"Just be warned boy, that friend of yours is not what you think."

"He's not just my friend he's my brother and he could never be a monster as you say."

The Traveler begins looking wary and the lights in the area start flickering. As the Traveler begins fading away the last words uttered are:"It seems as if our time here...is up. Be cautious around your friend, he is not what he seems...for he is the beginning of the end."

Somehow I survive the weirdo and end up back where Shadow is.

Shadow:" Yo dude where were you, you were like here one second and then that looney did some weird juju and then you were gone like poof."

"Nah I just went somewhere with that looney bin."

Shadow:" Hey you got that look like you kicked someones ass. Did you kick someones ass hehe?"

"Nah man stop smirking let's just head home for today." (I'll have to keep what that stranger said to myself for now, at least until I make some sense of what was said.)

While Shadow and Illume head home the traveler is off into some strange unknown area.

Traveler:" It seems as if that Dark wielding boy has no idea what he might bring upon this planet, this I could use, the less he knows the better. It also seems as if Illume hasn't awakened his Inner Light as of yet... I'll have to work fast with his awakening before the ender inside the other one awakens."
