Chapter 106

Grayson and Ari took Vickie to the castle and led her to one of the guest rooms.

“I could definitely get used to this!” Vickie said when they entered the bedroom.

Grayson set her luggage on the floor, just inside the door. “If you need anything, just let us know.” He paused for a moment. When he saw that Ari wasn’t budging, he asked Vickie, “Are you hungry?”

“I ate already—”

“Oh!” Ari held her hands up as if she just had the best idea of the century. “Popcorn!”

“Yes!” But Vickie’s smile quickly faded. “But if you have other plans—”

“Nonsense!” Ari replied. “I’ll pop some popcorn and we’ll meet you in the parlor in five.”

Grayson smiled as he took her hand, remembering the inside joke. “Make it ten.”

Vickie laughed as Grayson pulled Ari from the room.

“Ari!” Grayson whined in the hallway, “Come back to bed with me. Spend time with Vickie tomorrow.”
