Chapter 50
Mitch gave his name and they were promptly escorted to a corner table which gave them a bird’s-eye view of all of Jacksonville in two directions. A few minutes later they were joined by a middle-aged woman who was trim, very stylishly dressed, and whose expression showed that she didn’t miss much.
Mitch stood as the woman approached their table, and Chris followed suit.
“Hello, Mitch,” she said. “And who is this we’re having lunch with?”
“Katharine, meet Chris Bottoms.”
Chris and the woman shook hands and everyone sat.
“Chris is going to sue the hospital at NAS Jacksonville, and a couple of its doctors,” Mitch said.
“Suing the Navy will be a difficult task,” she said. “May I ask on what grounds you plan to sue?”
“The best,” Mitch said. “Medical malpractice.”
