“No. We’ll see enough of them tomorrow and the next day. Tonight is just for the two of us.”
“Sounds good to me.”
“Are you hungry?”
“You know I am. You’re the local guy, so find us a place to eat.”
“I can do that. Are you ready to go?”
“Not till I’ve had a quick shower.”
“I know—you get off any airplane with an overpowering urge to bathe.”
“That would be me,” Mickey said.
“I’ll join you.”
“Of course you will.”
Later, as they were lying in bed together, someone’s stomach rumbled.
“You weren’t kidding about being hungry were you, Mick?”
“I never kid about important things.”
“Then I guess we’d better get dressed and take care of that hunger.” Chris drove them to a restaurant situated at the edge of a residential neighborhood and parked the car in its parking lot. The sign in the window simply read ‘Jenny’s’.
