“Why bother with a sitter who’d be a total stranger. You and I both know there’s a great deal of reciprocity going on with his sleepovers. After all, Ted and his friends spend a lot of time at each other’s houses.”
“Yeah, point taken.”
“What night did you say this dinner gig was?” Chris said.
“I don’t think I said, but it’s Friday.”
“Let me make a couple of calls.”
“Handle it, babe, handle it.”
FRIDAY EVENING CAME and they were once again wearing their new Brooks Brothers suits.
“Have you ever been to the yacht club?” Chris said, as Mickey pulled into the parking lot.
“No, I haven’t, so this will be a first for both of us.”
“Angela told me she plays tennis here—Marge said that she ‘works up a sweat sitting and watching’.”
“Don’t quote me on this babe, but Marge could do with a little tennis playing herself.”
“Yeah, that’s for sure.”
