“And all that stationary bike work means you won’t have any problem keeping up with us,” Mickey said.

“Keeping up with you!” she said. “I could always keep up with you, big brother.”

“Now that’s the Cat I remember,” Mickey said.

They visited a while longer; and Chris and Mickey rounded up Ted, and they all left the restaurant.

As they were standing by the car saying good-bye, Chris said, “What did Paula write in your cookbook, Ted?”

Ted held the book open, and Chris read, “To Ted, love and best dishes from Paula.”

“I guess that made your day, didn’t it?” Mickey said.

“Yes, Sir.”
